Will you watch debates of the third party candidates?
If you're unhappy with the state of affairs, then why not look into other options? Debate last night on youtube with Larry King moderating Libertarian, Green, Constitution and Justice Parties. http://youtu.be/CoNPO4h2quk
I will not waste my time with any such third party debates, because my mission at this point in time in history is defeating Obama. Therefore, a vote for any third party candidates is a vote for Obama. Besides the Green and Justice parties are merely socialist parties anyway, unless Americans are so uneducated - we already have a Marxist socialist running the government.
Being a Jeffersonian constitutionalist, I certainly would not oppose expanding the number of parties, because that would effectively limit what government could achieve on a bipartisan basis. In fact there is the Tea Party, which is a legitimate force now who the "socialist republicans" hold in contempt. So you have witnessed what occurs with an additional party in the mix of government, when that party holds true to its principles and ideals - GRIDLOCK! It is a grand thing to finally witness though. So, If you think there is gridlock with three parties wait until there are 6 parties. Nothing will get done, which is the way the federal system was designed...but it would be so wonderful!
