Doesn't it seem like us lower-middle class people are on a "fiscal cliff" everyd

Doesn't it seem like us lower-middle class people are on a "fiscal cliff" everyday of our lives?

It amazes me how it seems like the only people treating this whole thing as if it be a crisis like "Bay of Pigs" or "Armaggedon" are the people with the most money. For us that have made an art of living day to day, Jan 1 is just another day. And there are a lot of us. Why? Because we have all learned that we play the cards we are dealt and do the best we can, with what we've got. A lesson all of Congress should learn. We also understand the word "compromise". We are not pawns to be sacrificed in a high stakes chess game between Republicans and Democrats. Do your job, "Leaders"!!!  How u feel?

Absolutely, and too many have already fallen off of the cliff!

Yes we are the ones sitting at the edge. For me what the government decides to do is a big thing that could have a big impact on us. Everything they are doing could. The forced medical is another issue. My husband enrolled himself and our children in a plan. I am not on it as of now. Why? Because it increases the plan by $180 a month. Everyone said by making us have it that somehow it would be cheaper, but that is not true for all of us. To be honest the lower class will be getting the most out of this government I believe. It seems working hard is only rewarded if you get rich in the process. Being poor gets rewarded in other ways. We get no food stamps, medicaid, rental assistance, or even WIC for our daughter. We are the group that must live like we all should, frugal!

Unfortunately their shenanigans affect us all!  The cuts and taxes that will go into effect on Jan1 - if no agreement is reached, will make it even harder for the lower-middle class and everyone else to survive.  It seems hopeless to me.
