What are your thoughts on the President's proposed gun reform efforts?

This week President Obama proposed 23 executive actions that include more background checks for people buying guns, and also banning certain types of "assault weapons" and large ammo clips. Some people think this might be against the constitution, others say that in wake of recent tragedies that these steps are necessary to keep innocent people safe. What do you think?

I don't care really, but I think half of the people in this country have lost their minds over this. What are those kids doing in the photo?

A few of the actions include things that should be normal. Such as emergency routines. However, there will be a battle for government imposing in the "house of prayer" for that one. But the background checks for buying guns and large ammo clips will not do much. 96% of guns used in crime were illegally purchased. Because of Obama's proposition shady people are talking about nail guns being used at distances of 22 feet. Ouch! As I said, you take away one weapon and another one will pop up.

Judging from the rush to buy more guns I would say it will do little to prevent people from buying/owning guns. The problem is psychological as the human psyche is increasingly bombarded by white noise radiation that numbs the senses. Serotonin overproduction will cause more anxiety, depression, and fear while the misfiring of Sodium ions will cause irrational behavior. Look for drug companies to make lots of money as humanity focuses on the wrong things but that's the nature of those disconnected from the spirit.

What Obama is doing is really the job of congress, and if he as president wants any of the things cited in his executive orders to be done, then he should encourage congress to make them laws.

Excessive use of Executive Orders is more like a society being run under martial law. The president is show boating and it is not going to make a difference.

This is the same president and the same democratic view that said basically we don't care about checking on the eligibility of our voters, because photo ids were to much for the voters.

Isn't it important not to have non citizens, and other non eligible people vote in our elections, as they can have a negative impact on who gets elected and how the country is run by them.

We need to first check if the existing laws and the existing requirements are being enforced before we add new conditions.

The president needs to focus on his own job, which he neglected for the last four years.

If you want to protect the children then focus on the illegal drug sold to them, protecting them from child prostitution, and human trafficking.
