Freedom, what does it mean to you?
The freedom to do as you please may affect others greatly so what's your idea of freedom and would there have to be rules to follow.
Freedom to me is the ability to transcend everything. Specifically, to transcend one's own thoughts. Because thoughts create the illusory world. As the sages have said, no thoughts, no world. Only a state of being and bliss exists.
Freedom starts with a principle of self-control, also known as self-ownership. In a free society, each and every person has legal control (or "ownership") of their own body and mind. As such, the concept of freedom refers to a certain type of political empowerment. It refers specifically to equal empowerment. In other words, a free society is one with an equal distribution of legal rights and in which each and every person has as much legal rights as possible.
Because freedom entails political equality, freedom can only logically entail as much legal rights as compatible with the same legal rights in others. In a free society, any one person cannot have so many legal rights that all other people could not logically have the same amount of legal rights.
Freedom to me means political freedom.
It is easy to denounce the lack of political freedom and dynamism of discussions regarding legal reform, but it is really unwise to allow for legal inefficiency with benches left empty due to needless struggles over judicial appointments. Herein lies the apparent dilemma: education, globalisation, and technology means that we are increasingly liberal and global in worldview, fast leaving behind the relatively archaic insistence of an ossified justice system. But a look at continual legal refinements, and growing civic awareness and participation indicates an emerging, if as yet fledgling partnership.
Freedom for me means that i can do what so ever i want to do in my life. Freedom means i can say, i can write anything which i want. I can do anything what so ever i like without hurting anyone emotions. I am free to do anything until and unless my words did not hurts anyone.

Why is it that the rights of the accused have morphed into a very slanted advantage to the accused , thereby seemingly surpassing all the rights of the victims ,this is a constant in the American courts system , How has our system become so flawed?

At this point most people will be agreeing with me, most of us believe in the first amendment and freedom of speech but it seems in the last few years something has turned around and people are shying away from the reality of what that means. It means we must be OK with violence being portrayed in...

Is democracy freedom or mob rule?I would assert that a free and open society is one based upon certain principles of freedom, as contained in the American Bill of Rights and that a democratic process will inevitably destroy such a concept. Essentially, such freedom, is the freedom to achieve...
