What causes daughters in small and medium sized families (1-4 children per household) are
adored, idolized, and considered princesses by their parents whereas daughters in large and very large families (6 and more children per household) are often viewed as human commodities and mascots by their parents?
Uhhh...say what? I don't follow that at all. I have 2 sisters, so that would qualify as your definition of a "small and medium sized" family. Both of my siblings were appreciated by our late parents, but neither was seen as a "princess"--except for once when the middle child squatted bare-bottomed in a patch of stinging nettles when riding in the mountains and was laughed at as "Princess Nettles" for a few years.
My father's family included 8 children, 5 of them them girls--and the same view of respect and appreciation applied to them as to my own sibs.
So...your question makes no sense to me.
