We need new leadership without the two party taint. the two parties have had plenty of time to correct america's slide into the abyss. yet both parties are oblivious to the dangers. We need people that hold the public trust sacred and act only i repeat only in the interest of their people. the people we call americans. and when i say this i emphesis all americans rich and poor. every last one of them which all should have a voice. taxes should probably be flat rate. so as not to drive the rich overseas and the poor should be cared for just as the rich. we will have to lower our life expectations and cull the military. we must live within our means. what is true for the individual is true for the nation. spend no more than you take in should be the norm except for extraordinary circumstances like hurricane katrina. the nation will have to revitalize its manufacturing base before we expend all our monies on chasing our tail. putting our money into a future will make jobs that pay good and will bouy the economy. technology will make our manufacturing cost effective so we can sell cheaper and pay workers better. the attitude of cutting workers pay and jacking up the product price is all about greed. there is no place in america past or future for these greedy people. a fair product for a fair price.

What you need is for Obama to keep the one promise that is crucial to just about every other issue you guys are grappling with -- KILLING the lobbyist influence in Washington. Get rid of this, and your country will look very, very different (not that I know *how* you would get rid of this, mind you)

Kill the lobbyists influence?  Where is this potion available???

        lol

Do we replace lobbyists with fairies?  Good will?  Warm fuzzies??

The use of paragraphs might speed up the reinvention immensely.

No offense, but your ideas will get across alot better if formatted in a more reader friendly manner. That's the point of it.

      Yeah socialism sucks.
It would be horrible to live in a world where the lowest standards of living were comfortable and people were treated well hmm

On a serious note life in cuba is not very comfortable but they do live within their means and in the great blame game for global warming they don't need to claim any of the blame roll

OK, lets see, first I would forbid you from being involved in the reinvention process, why? No reinvention process is necessary! America is a fully functional entity struggling through some corporate greed and a ton of Government intrusion, want America to work again? Less government more entrepreneurial spirit!

When politicians stop taking a salary and election funds are limited to perhaps 100,000 dollars and we put term limits in place, then MAYBE you will have government OF the people, By the people, and FOR the people!

The idea of living within our means should be a given. The government, like many of us has truly become addicted to spending. Its not sexy but we must find away to spend only what we take in. Any child can understand this.

not communism not socialism, this is anarchist liberalism.

I am no liberal, as much as I am confused as one, not an issue.  Anyhow, what we should do, could do, ra ra ra, never works.  we are human.  we are not all the same, never will be.  only thing that makes us the same is greed.  so what.  its not unnatural.

the answer is simple, tax the rich just a little bit more, help the poor just a little bit more.  nothing radical.

Ah geez.  I cracked out again.

Tax the rich more!?  As if that would happen lol

All government is corrupt. Government is FORCE. The founders of the USA knew this and that is why when they drafted the constitution they intended to LIMIT the power of government. Somewhere along the way our "leaders" have trashed our founding document, ignored it and have worked very hard to enrich themselves with treasure and power. This administration is the worst of them all and if we're not careful they will deal a death blow to liberty!

Have you heard about the hundreds of FEMA camps in construction and the thousands of plastic coffins distributed to them.FEMA bungles natural disasters so what kind of Emergency is it geared for?Black water security is opening new sites in every state. For the first time in our history American troops have been deployed IN America as police. At last count 48 of our national parks have been turned over to the UN.This says it all

Actually its us that have guided America into the Abyss by doing nothing to hold these Tyrants accountable for thier actions and allowing Marxism to invade our Universities. Utopia is a lovely idea but as the indians of North America discovered: Its a predatorial universe. Something always consumes something else. Its the very nature of the universe and man will never change it. The only chance we have is to raise our awareness to level where we can deal with each other in good faith by holding our own ego and self importance in check. I dont see that happening for centuries considering we are still caught up in its ALL ABOUT ME... and teach it as our foundation..

can't agree with "Culling" the Military. The state of current world afairs dictates otherwise. China, Iran, North Korea.....too scary. In fact using the term "Culling" seems to imply that there is strength in pasive behavior. I think a lot of the problem is not the size of our Military, but how our Miltary is used. Our foriegn policy since WWII is definitely flawed. Because of that we have misused out Military.

Manufacturing, as long as lobyist and union's have our governments ear you can forget about a return of the manufacturing industry in America.

Couldn't agree with you more on "living within our means". Unfortunately today's society is not big on personal responsibility.

Well thats one problem...but what about the financial Machines that propel these people to power and enforcement of the original checks and balances that they are no longer required. To me what has just happened with Banking, Industry and Wall Street bailouts indicate no one is held responsible. So guess what? That means it over and the Tyrants won!!!
