What do you think of the new relations between Cuba and the USA?
There is a news that there are talks again between the two countries and US may open its embassy.
I am with the Cuban exiles. They are mad, and I don't blame them. Many, if not most of them were treated badly by the Castro brothers; i.e. their homes taken from them, etc. Those who could get out of Cuba came to the USA. And what happened to the exiles who fought against the Castro regime during the Bay of Pigs invasion?
I think the only obstacle is that the Americans who owned property there prior to 1960 will want some sort of compensation for their losses. The trouble is a lot of these were money-laundering outfits that don't even exist anymore, so there would be a lot to unravel here in the US. Things were far shadier in the 1950s than they are today.
