How many people could we save with the $75 million the U.S. will spend on security for Kahlid Sheik Mohamed's horse and pony trial?
Everyone including the president has said he is guilty, KSM has proudly admitted his guilt, and yet we will waste millions of taxpayer dollars and subject the citizens of New York to potential terrorist acts, for no real value. What kind of idiots are making these decisions? (Rhetorical question)
We can't run these guys out of office soon enough!
On top of this, they are giving GMAC Financial anthor 3+ billion dollars, that we will never see again!
I guess it is just the cost of doing business with a Bill of Rights. Part of freedom is protecting the guilty as well as the innocent. Without it we would resort to hanging gangs and mob rule.
Picking this trial of course a great waste of money as this could be handeled a lot more efficiently. But expressing government waste in this case out of all the things they waste money on is like shooting fish in a barrel.
