What are viable, intelligent alternatives to warfare to solve problems?  In order to evolve as a

species, humankind has to progress beyond a warmongering consciousness & mindset.  This is the 21st century yet humankind resorts to primitive, even barbaric methods of solving its problems.  It is time that humankind really grow up & find more conscious ways of solving problems.

Your question is truly understood, but is this not the same question centuries of people been saying for their own life time, the world has advanced in technology but has degraded in human feelings, they war against each other,  jealous of each other, that leads to many crimes even in the family circle. What people can not see
Is that everthing has been tried and tested on this planet without the interference of the Heavenly Father,
MAN , has lived independent of God to prove a point, can we rule ourselfs do we need him.
At this point humans could obliviate the whole human race and animals off the planet.  Not God's purpose for creating life here.
The thought when will all test end is up to him.

As long as there is selfishness, envy and hatred in the world there will be wars, Wars are just a manifestation of the struggles most of us have, we want something and we don't get it so we fight for it.

Their really is no solution to the problem other than give ourselves to God to change our hearts.

Let's hit the bull's eye of the problem: "people" don't start wars, governments do. We are the ones electing them, they don't force themselves into power. They are not representing the best interests of their people  -  whom they should SERVE, not "rule"  -  when they create a hostile atmosphere in a region resulting with a savage chain of killings. I wish I could say: West has no business being there. It's the "business", sweetly called "our national interests" that keeps us glued in places where the locals don't want us. Besides, there is no business like war business. Let's forget about "hate", "envy", "competition"  -  people are good all over the globe, it's the governments that are messing things up. But again  -  why blame them, we elect them with a masochist passion and then watch the history repeat itself..
