Would you support a constitutional amendment to repeal the 16th amendment?
Honestly, I don't have any problem with paying taxes in theory. I just wish they wouldn't waste them.
Corporation who want to do business in America or sell their goods here should have to pay taxes too. Since corporations have rights of personhood, they should have the responsibilities as well.
The tax on income is certainly not something the founding fathers would have dared. However, our military endeavors alone cost over $500 Billion for the basic budget and another $500 Billion or so for operational costs, VA costs, nuclear programs, maintaining overseas bases, the Afghanistan campaign and servicing interest on loans that have kept this going. How will our government raise money to pay for this stuff without an income tax?
What about totally replacing it,, and the IRC with a National Sales Tax, similar to the existing state sales tax. The NST would be between 10 and 12% , the FICA would still come out of your pay.
It doesn't make sense to pay FICA on consumption.

Why does this president not trust the American voter to vote appropriately on a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution?Apparently he knows what's best for us better than we do.If the majority of voters do not want it, it will not pass. If they do, then why shouldn't we have one?Every...
