Why does Trump's calculating campaign of fear work?
When you sense a threat your mind generates fear and anger. The fear you generate is part of a flight response from your physiology. .The Maciavellian quote in this topic is, "A Prince should therefore disregard the reproach of being thought cruel where it enables him to keep his subjects united and obedient." Is it better to be blindly obedient and trust your leaders as you trust in God? Submission implies a sweet spirit of cooperation that stems from trust. You trust that the leaders have your best interests at heart.
In REALITY, Trump ONLY Appeals to a Small Minority of Americans, Primarily "Birthers, Bigots & Racists" which equates to approximately 35% of CONservative Republican VOTERs ~ If you investigate the numbers in totality, Trump is Disliked or Despised by the VAST Majority of not only Hispanics, Asians, Women, African Americans, the Gay Community and Americans in General, but the Global Population as well ~ According to reports, there's actually a Petition in ENGLAND to "Ban" this Bigot from entering the country ~ Depending upon the Demographic, approximately 70-90% of ALL Americans have an "UNFAVORABLE" view of "Drumpf" Trump for an almost infinite number of valid reasons ~ A DISASTER in the Making for NOT Only his Presidential Bid but many CONservative Republican House Members ~ WHY else would the Progressive MEDIA be Pushing for a "Trump NOMINATION"? & Who's Financing Trump's Destruction of the GOP? ~ I Have a pretty GOOD Idea ~
At first I thought he was a Democrat in disguise to sabotage GOP 2016, but I think the Golem, Frankenstien monster can not be put back into the bottle. Sad that the GOP didn't kick him out because they are more concerned with keeping power above all.
FACTLESS Brad? ~ I'm sorry you feel that way but as usual, I encourage all my READERs to investigate my comments ~ What I've previously mentioned is indeed pretty accurate & can be VERIFIED via a Simple GOOGLE Search ~ Sorry to Dissapoint U Again
"Sad that the GOP didn't kick him out because they are more concerned with keeping power above all." That statement makes no sense, if he is so hated he will lose how does not kicking him out keep GOP's power?
You have loaded this question with your prejudice
FEAR
really
Anyone that believes that leaders have your best interests at heart, need to look at the US history and try to find where that actually existed. It isn't there, I have looked.
Why not focus on what specific acts or actions that you think are fear tactics?
Where is the fear?
If you don't like my comment, then delete it.
Ours is a largely racist and fearful nation. His supporters either agree with what he's said or they're looking past it due to the fact that he's basically an independent and not part of another political machine. His divisive comments are typical Republican rhetoric without the typical sugarcoating euphemisms. Also, his positive messages about building American infrastructure: bullet trains, manufacturing, etc. have gone largely unreported. I think these are the reasons why his supporters like him.
But our leaders do not have our best interests at heart.
* free trade for import but not when we export, so factories close and the rust belt rust spreads
* employment rate drops 67% to 62% but the official unemployment rate is 5%, so it looks good in the news but bad for the 10% of adults not counted as unemployed
* illegal immigrants are the reason wages are depressed nationwide and have dropped for several years, and the government says let's bring in more
* 80% illegitimacy rate for blacks, 30% for whites, civil involvement and societal trust falling with the wedlock birth rate, and the government says let's expand the programs that caused it

What do you think. As President would , world leaders respect Her enough, would the Arab Nations treat her equal? I think of Ms Thatcher and how she worked harder to be taken seriously, how tough she had to be, and how many times the behind closed doors comments flew, and some in the papers...

Donald Trump, in order to get elected, promised a whole lot of things. This forum is to discuss whether he was able to our not. Here is a short list of Promises we can follow:Here are his Day One Promises (that would be Jan 21, 2025, I believe):Immigration and Border Security: Trump will...

I choose to support a candidate based on issues, which is not to say that I wouldn't rule out a candidate based on behavior alone (Trump, for example). However, I overwhelmingly base my vote on who I most agree with most on the issues. A candidate's personal behavior and demeanor is...

This is why Romney lost. He displayed poor cognitive reasoning. He actually said that the widely known fact that smaller classroom size in schools is advantageous to students was misinformation perpetuated by teacher's unions to hire more teachers. Are teachers insidious, or is Romney...

Trump's hand-picked attorney general summarized the Mueller Report by saying two things.1) Trump or his campaign did not legally conspire with Russia to fix the 2016 election2) Trump is NOT exonerated from the charge of Obstruction of Justice.IF Barr properly reported Mueller's...
