Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.
Too many people today demand society should change to fit their views, that laws be passed to forbid what they don't like, use government force to change others - instead of changing themselves or what is in their circle of influence.
And too many today say society should give them everything they need and want for free, from free healthcare to free education, ignoring what others have already paid for or can't afford to pay for beyond what was already demanded.
From 1962 - "We choose to go to the moon in this decade not because it is easy...but because it is hard."
The quote is longer, but I think we all get the idea. It was a long but tremendous speech. That is the kind of inspirational and challenging messaging that is lacking today from our leaders.
