Why is the FBI information on Clinton email released to Congress redacted?

It begs the question why if there were no classified information on the server as Mrs. Clinton claimed, the interview and related information released to Congress today is heavily redacted.
Does this make any sense to anyone? FBI Director Comey have some explaining to do.

I haven't seen the report but it appears that even the FBI fears the Clinton mafia machine. It seems there is no government agency left that we can truly trust.

I don't think Comey said there was no classified information on the server, just that Clinton had no intent to endanger national security, she was sloppy. I guess if she is President and she detonates a nuclear weapon they'll say she was just sloppy and didn't intend to do it. No kidding that is what you can expect from a Clinton Presidency if the past is any predictor of the future.

What I don't get is why Comey didn't reccomend to indict her for destroying Government emails. It is very clear that the emails she deleted, 33,000, not just a few, were government property and it was illegal for her to destroy them, only the government had the right to determine what was personal and what not, that's the law.

We've been living under a banana republic government since BO took office, it's only a matter of time before we become a banana republic if we don't get rid of these tyrants and stop their policies..

Good points. Comey has a lot of explaining to do... It is highly suspicious that over the past few months, we've been indoctrinated into thinking he is a straight shooter...and then it happened.

Look at Petraeas on Hillary,we thought he was a straight shooter, even Ken Star is now supporting Bill Clinton?http://www.politico.com/story/2016/05/kenneth-starr-praises-bill-clinton-223508 Reversal is eividence of blackmail, nothing else.

I always though Ken Starr screwed up the impeachment of Clinton focusing on the Monica affair. There were many other miss deeds by the Clinton that warranted impeachment.

So you think Star was compromised even then somehow? He sure was vilified and demonized by the left and their media shills.

I'm not a conspiracy type. I just thought he mis handled the impeachment process by focusing on the one aspect and letting other more serious charges skate...

I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories either, but getting dirt on anyone for the purpose of manipulating them to do your bidding or to threaten them if they don't isn't conspiracy, for the Clintons, BO&the left it's just business as usual

There was classified and secret information on her server, including the names of various informants and discussions on trade deals.
When the information was released to Congress, the names of spies and informants and other top secret information was blacked out in an effort to protect it from release. Congress needed to know that there were top secret and classified emails but not full content.

What about the emails relating to the Benghazi affair? wasn't that the whole purpose of the investigation that brought all of this about? I want to know what was in her emails that surrounds the Benghazi incident. Is that too much to ask?

But that is proof Hillary lied to Chris Wallace when SHE said Comey said she was truthful about this. Everybody knows she lied to America about classified material on her server, redaction is just more proof, she lied and Comey sighed. sad

    Jack
    That is an interesting question.

It begs the question of what is the minimum security level of rep and senators in congress. Hillary Clinton when she became sec of state didn't get any vetting for the high level of security information for her job.
It would seem that a congressional committee would by definition be able to see any information without redaction.

And as you say, how is the email given to the congress? If it is not marked classified, then there should be no redaction at all. For classified documents, the classification needs to justify the area that has been redacted. How can a congressional committee investigate with dark lines across the material they are reviewing.

If congress can't be trusted with knowing this information, who can? This isn't even current information, and we shouldn't have to wait 30 years for it to be opened.

Totally agree. Are we the only thinking persons on the planet?
