That depends on what programs they watch. For many TV is their only source of so called "News."
Now we are aware of how biased and dishonest much of the media has become. They seem to pick and choose what they report to curry the favor of certain groups of people. Leaving out parts of a story is a way of distorting the truth.
We have reached the point where almost everything reported on the TV news needs to be fact checked before we can arrive at an opinion. And we also know that many of the fact-checking sources can't always be trusted to report the truth either.
I think when it comes to TV news we are pretty much on our own when sorting fact from fiction.
Conservatives Are Right: The Media Is Very Liberal
http://fortune.com/2015/11/02/liberal-media/
Liberal pundits mock conservatives and Christians routinely on television, but criticize Islam and liberals say you deserve the death threats or murder attempts (like everyone draw mohammed contest in Garland, Texas 2015 attacked by 2 terrorists).
And in this election, the media went from being biased but trying to look moderate to totally in for Clinton. Her corruption, abuse of power, deliberately ignoring information security guidelines to prevent others from subpoenaing her records, violations of tax laws by using a non-profit to collect foreign bribes, using said foundation to pay for her daughter's wedding and living expenses ... almost none of this was covered on TV, while Facebook and Twitter banned Wikileaks to hide it. This means new media and old media are just as biased. And it wasn't just those two platforms that said "censor anything bad on Democrats, only say bad about Republicans".
Apple, Twitter, Google, Instagram collude to defeat Trump

Regardless of my political persuasion that is a really lame question. If anyone can not see it as a fact they deserve the label moron.
But you can do as I do, subscribe to a venue/service that provides content with no commercials or advertising.
Simple nowadays.
And get one of those things that if you work at it you can get local affiliate stations and turn the off at a click of the button. People in this time that watch the reality TV show you call news are really quite stupid.
All TV is propaganda..It's like a red herring, OH LOOK !POISON WATER IN MI !!! MEANWHILE (let's use our men and women in the military to commit an indiscriminate genocide and call it a terrorist attack.) That's what causes PSTD as well as kill any of your own people that are whistle blowers including any reporter that has integrity and desperately wants the Truth Out . It's a blood bath over there. No one knows who they are killing or cares....Oh did you hear about the nasty poison water in MI???????? It's ALL PROPAGANDA!!

In discussions here on HubPages, a common topic arises when discussing the media. In most circles, people believes what they read and see on TV. In light of the recent Twitter/facebook NY Post censorship controversy, and as a nod to Savvydating's thought about the current power of Social Media, (read; facebook, Twitter, Google), I have some thoughts about the power of our predominate social media networks..But first, these thoughts aren't...

Why do political people seem to demonize the opposition rather than discuss issues?I see this on both the right and the left and it drives me batty. Why do conservatives like to use "liberal" as a dirty word rather than debate issues on merit? It's easier to whine about liberal this...
