   The only thing he has any allegiance to is himself. He ran as a Republican, but he's never been active in the party, beyond donating to some Republican candidates, and seems to have contempt for anyone who disagrees with him, from either party.

      Just so you know, David.. In America, we have those who have no interest in actual facts. Lisa is one of them. They hang out on the Internet and spout anything. All we know is that ALL of his cabinet choices are conservative. So, we shall see.

      And we have people who wouldn't know facts if they bit them in their behinds. Trump's band of plunder-monkeys have only one thing in common: pillaging the planet for profit, no matter who it harms. Talk to me in six months, if we're still alive.

   A View point is Trump is first and foremost a capitalist. Politics is only a tool to that end. A tool is used to build, repair, or dismantle. It doesn't matter if held in the right hand or the left as long as it serves a purpose. The purpose is any of those three.

      Thank you for your comment. So maybe he is just riding on the back of the Republican party, using them as a tool, to fulfill his capitalist ambitions. Like he is backing big oil, appointing Scott Pruitt to EPA and Rex Tillerson as Sec of State.

      The thing is, David...Trump is already quite wealthy.  He does not need to ride on the backs of Republicans to fulfill "his capitalist ambitions." He could become even richer by siding with Democrats and liberal agendas---just like Al Gore has done.

   He's an independent running as a republican. He's had to make some small deals with the Republican Party in order to get its support to receive the nomination (cabinet appointments, etc.). He may end up changing the party from within if he has the energy.
