Should the USA ban Sharia Law?
Many places in Europe are deciding whether or not to allow Sharia Law. Now there's people who say that Sharia is compatible with the US Constitution and anyone who disagrees is evil and inconsiderate.
I'm not a FAN of "Sharia Law", nor a fan of the inherent restrictions therein, but WHY on EARTH would anyone call 4 an "Unconstitutional BAN" on this Religion when CHRISTIANs here in the USA Account for MORE Violent Crimes / Homicides than any other Denomination in HISTORY ??
If "FEAR of Murder" or "FEAR of Violent CRIME" or "FEAR of Terrorism" is the MEASURE or Metric by which an individual assesses the Depth & SCOPE of a National THREAT to CIVILIZATION & Safety, Banning Christianity is probably the Logical Solution & must be at the top of the LIST of Essential Remedies Right??
Just remember, Odds are, a Foreign TERRORIST will NEVER Harm U, but "Delusional Donald's" ANTI-American Radically DANGEROUS Schemes like REVOKING your Health-Insurance will ~
Yeah, okay. Banning Christianity is the real answer to our problems. The only one who is delusional is you.
Well Lolita, if Mitigating "Violent CRIME" is your Primary CONCERN, WHY Ban "Sharia LAW"?? WHY not BAN the Religion that is responsible 4 the most Violent CRIMEs here in the USA which is Christianity ?? Just Injecting "COMMON Sense" FACTs
Crimes committed today in the US have little to nothing to do with Christianity. Even if religion did not exist, trust me, there would still be the same amount of crimes committed, if not more. Banning Sharia is to protect Americans.
lol ~ "PROTECT Americans" ?? Like REVOKING Our Health-Ins which will B the DEMISE of Millions in the USA including GULLIBLE "Trump SHEEP", or Authorizing "Mercury DUMPs" into OUR Water?? Drumpf is trying 2 ACHIEVE these ATROCITIEs
Greg ~ It doesn't matter whether U are Christian, Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Practitioner of "Sharia LAW" or whatever, If your're within the U.S. & your Religion "CONFLICTs" with Statutary LAWs of the USA, you're FINED or IMPRISONED
I am not 100% sure what Sharia Law is (and I don't know anybody in the west fully know what it is) but assuming our western stereotype of what Sharia Law is like, I belief the necessity of keeping religion and state apart. So, if our stereotype of Sharia Law to be religion law to be accurate....no Sharia law. If it is some what different from our western belief, then the question is, what is Sharia Law
If they come to the USA they should learn yo follow OUR laws and not bring their own with them. If they like that law then they should stay in that country.
Greg, Would that include the law that makes murder illegal, except for cops who kill unarmed black people?
"Cops that kill unarmed black people." You can be unarmed and still dangerous.
Yes because it can't coexist with The Constitution:
1) No free speech-You could be killed for criticizing Mohammed
Qur’an: “Allah likes not the uttering of unseemly speech in public, except on the part of one who is being wronged…” (4:49)
2) Women are to be second-class citizens-
To quote the Qur’an: “The Prophet said, ‘Isn’t the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?’ The women said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘This is because of the deficiency of a woman’s mind.“ (Sura 2:282).
Many countries with Sharia forbid women to vote, to be educated, to drive or to disobey their husbands ect..
3) The Qur’an allows for violence against ones fellow
man- If he is not a Muslim.
Qur’an: “I will cast terror into the hearts of
those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their
heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”
(8:12)
4) Slavery’s cool. Especially if it involves women-
" O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those (slaves) whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee.” (33:50)
5) Freedom of religion -
“slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and
take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait
for them in every ambush.” (9:5)"
A great majority of people are evil and inconsiderate. Any proposed ban on Sharia Law is simply a racist ploy to keep the citizens of the United States distracted from the important issues. In fact there are many serious issues that a lot of Americans are not even aware of.
For instance, there are elements of Sharia Law that have always existed here, at least since the European Invasion. in every state of the union a 70 year old man can marry a ten year old girl with the consent of her parents. New Jersey governor Chris Christie recent;y vetoed a bill that would outlaw child rape and pedophilia. His reasoning is that it would interfere with "religious freedom". Children, especially young girls are being sexually abused and often sold as sex slaves. Because of a loophole in the law concerning child brides, pedophilia has been legal in the United States since 1776.
Being against Sharia Law is NOT racist. If they want to come to the USA they can learn and live by the laws that the rest of this country live by. If they want that in their life then they can stay where they are or go back there and you can join them
Oh, you've got to be freaking kidding me with this answer. Can you please educate yourself on Sharia? I'm so sick of this libtard BS.
As I pointed out,and as can be verified,Christian laws are just as heinous as Sharia Law. In fact, more so since we live under Christian Law. Christie vetoed the bill with Christian zealots in mind. Are U suggesting legalized pedophilia is OK?
Apparently since both you and Greg are more interested in the racist diversion of banning Sharia Law, it appears that you are both in agreement with pedophilia as it is legally practiced by Christians in the United States.
Greg & Lolita need 2 UNDERSTAND that your Religion and or By-Product of a Religion is IRRELEVANT ~ If U Reside in or VISIT the USA and Break our STATUTORY Laws, U are Penalized ~ That's a FACT even if U Practice "Sharia LAW" or Christianity
You don't go to jail or get your hand cut off by breaking a law in Christianity--of which there are really none...unless you count the 10 Commandments.
Let me Re-Iterate Lolita ~ Pertaining to Legalities, your Religion is Secondary here in the USA because we have "Overriding Statutory LAWs" which Render Christian Faith, Sharia Law or whatever Denomination U happen to subscribe to, IRRELEVANT

The governor of Kansas just signed a bill that prevents foreign laws (including Sharia law) from being enforced in US courts. opponents to the law say that it singles out Muslims despite the fact that "sharia law" is not even mentioned in the bill.http://news.yahoo.com/kansas-governor-s...

What are the aspects of the two modes of practical law that make one incompatible with the other?

There should not have been a need at all for Senate Bill 97 in the United States. The House voted 56-44 to prohibit sharia law. I'd like the names of the block heads who voted against that bill, they should be voted out for wanting foreign laws to replace the Constitution of the USA.

Were the founding fathers of this country Christians? I have always been under the impression that our country was founded by people who were escaping religious persecution. Why then, do so many people claim that this country was created under Christianity? I could be wrong, but I...
