Can humanity find a way that could eliminate terrorism using religions?
Today in the world, there are so many terrorists attack that includes religions, directly or indirectly. Since religions are supposed to be there, to guide humanity during their lives, in a peaceful, friendly and loving way, there must be something wrong with religions, eight the way they are, or the way we understand them. So, I believe that humanity should look at this problem and try to fix it. Therefore, what can be done we may ask? And this is what I am asking you here. Do you know of anything that could be done to fix that?
First, the answer is "Of course, yes." Secondly, you want to look at the problem and try to fix it, you say. Whose world is it? Again, what do you think the God-men are asking you to do? Every religion has one, whether it be Christ or Buddha or someone else. What are they asking you to do? One more thing. When was humanity ever without problems?
Whether it was throwing us in the den with lions; burning us at the stake; the Spanish inquisition; the crusades, buccaneers or other such madness, there has always been problems. The Seers have also been coming. What do you feel that they were asking of you?
Here's what I have been saying for seven years on Hub Pages. They speak of an Ultimate Entity, a Divine or perennial Ground which some call by many names including the word God. They say that Love, Peace, Light .... call it what you want, lies in being at one with this God (Consciousness or Spirit). They all prescribe prayer, daily devotions and silent prayer as well as meditations.
Crucially, and bear this in mind, they ask us to look within, not outside . This Kingdom is within the Heart, the spiritual Heart. That is why so many faiths are full of so called mystics. Mysticism is beyond us, only because we have not put into practice, what these men of God taught. We use the mind but the Heart is higher and beyond the mind.
To go there requires prayer, constant service, a belief that Something Higher is in charge, not us. It is unfair of us to tell the Saviour, any Saviour, that we wish to swim, but do not want to get into the water. How will we swim? Christianity has never lacked Saints, nor does she lack them now. The same goes for many faiths I know.
Put simply, spirituality asks us to transform our nature, not the worlds. The world is God's business; transformation of our nature, our inner nature, is ours. I tell you in my experience, that in all this outer commotion, there is so much inner beauty. of course once this colours your life, there will be outer beauty too. It will become infectious and others will be inspired by you. That is how we can best serve this world.
Loosely speaking, we get what we deserve. When there is crime in society, it is largely a problem with society, not one man or woman. Much Love.
Without any philosphical bs or sermonizing, I would say a straight "NO".
The simple reason being, it's man who controls the religious narrative and the society that second it. Man has a greed and society has its needs. Humanity, compassion etc are mere rhetorics. Irrespective of what religion aims to achieve it has mostly been deployed as hate bogey. Simply for ulterior motives or to 'Divide and Rule'. That how it was before, that's how it is now and so shall it stay.
The stakes now are even higher now, cuz under the garb of terrorism a lot of objectives are being achieved. To name a few - Oil theft, espionage, destablization, warmonering, weapons sale, political aspirations, coups, social divide etc....
Ironically, there is no head to cut off or a vile creature to tame. It's a goddam global conglomerate!!
I could say "Yes, yes... you're seeing the problem. Religion, in its essence deals with the solution. That of transforming our own nature. Ask yourself: Would the Heart of krishna or Christ see it your way? Noble but non-solving.
I am a Hindu my friend n believe in karma without anyone reitrating it to me. I do have my disconnects though and I choose to fight the hypocrisy but I dont really appreciate religion being exploited and seen as an accomplice in this whole narrative.
Yes, like I said, I could say I agree, Ashutosh. But put in a different way? what's your solution?
people should stop being apologist and face truth. Unanimously oppose radical thought process. Currently Muslims needs it most, the brainwash is in epic proportions.
Dont fall for media propoganda and be especially skeptical of what government says!
Yes, much Light in your answers. I'm happy to be the bowler and you the batsman, but we both complement each other. My way is one of prayer, service, meditation ...spiritual sadhana. So many ways, Bro.
I am glad you agree with my viewpoint. Let there be light, that's how I would want to wrap it up.
Peace

I often see these hubs they have variation but the thrust is the same, if we get rid of religion society will collapse and morality will disappear, let's analyze that. Crime rates are higher in US states with highest rates of religiosity.Christians are actually more likely to be divorced than...
