Are you surprised that Mueller couldn't find any Russian collusion with the Trump campaign?

Rick Gates and Paul Manafort were indicted on Friday and expected to surrender today - the two were charged with 12 counts: conspiracy against the United States, conspiracy to launder money, unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading US Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) statements, false statements, and seven counts of failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts.  NONE of which were related to the Trump campaign.  Talk about a waste of taxpayer dollars.  What will happen now?

Investigations like this one are like a game of Jenga: the pieces slide out slowly, one by one, before the whole tower comes crashing down.

Just because Gates and Manafort haven't been charged with anything related to the Trump campaign yet doesn't mean charges won't be added later. This is what they can be charged with so far.

What will happen now? Remember, it took over two years between the time the first Watergate indictments were handed down, and the day Nixon resigned. These things take time. The investigation is ongoing. Mueller isn't done yet.

This gives Mueller leverage to get to the real information about what Manafort knows.  Fess up or spend your life in jail.

On the flip side, Trump can just promise Manafort a pardon, which is where the NY State investigation into Manafort comes in.
