How are the hp forums any better than the questions that are being retired into the forums?
Increasing the number of characters for the questions in the forums, just makes it longer winded. It doesn't change the quality of the answers.
Neither the question section or the Forum section have done much to inspire the writing of articles. In fact, giving longer responses to issues in the forum negates the need to write an article.
Neither the hp forum or Soapboxie is any improvement to the original writing of an article. The format and presentation of articles on soapboxie is awkward and confusing.
Because as the Questioner -- you can delete other people's answers and comments that's why Brad. Something you do on a regular basis with me in the past.

I try to keep you on your best game. I delete why you run off the road. to be fair, I never delete when it is on the subject, and it is not a rant. It still dsn't give a reason why forums are better.
When it goes to Forum I won't go on it.
You get a lot more participation in the forums. It seems you get a higher level of intelligent responses in the forums too. In the Q&A there are some rather nonsensical personages who frequent this. And on this very thread, I spot one.
Oh you could glean lots of useful bits from a forum thread with which to write a nice article with. I don't do that because I've not been into writing political or social things in some years.
You get more moderation, I think, in the forums. In any event, Q&A and forums are just basic socializing. That's all it could be. Not much different from Facebook.

thanks for the feedback.
When i was using the forums, I found snipers that did nothing but wait for fresh meat to assault. In addition, the threads gets so long it is difficult to get any chronology.
BTW, I don't do facebook,

I generally avoid the non-HP-related sections of the forums (categories like books and sports). Partly it's because all the religious and political discussions distress me, partly it's because it's a time-waster.But mainly, it seems like an awful lot of the output and discussions in those forums...

I read both forum entries and answers/questions entries but the two features seem to overlap. Many of the questions asked in "answers" are technical questions asked by hubbers about HP. Some elicit long threads of answers just like in the forums. Since the "questions/answers"...

Hello all,I was just checking around in my activities to see where I spent too much time (reading in forum threads I am shocked that people write in) on HP or not enough time lately (minding my own business, I guess). Naturally, this means I am, again, into the biggest time-killer space for me on...

I've never understood why people who are half black and half white are referred to as black. Like what mitigates the white gene?

It looks like a fourth of my feed lately is comprised of new people wanting the rest of us to tell them how to write. All day I get request after request for help on passing the Quality Assessment. I mean Really? Many of your requests are just one step above being a jumble of mis-spelled words...
