If you look at the hp forum metrics how is it any more active than the now defunct questions section
? If you objectively look at the views and the comments stats on either the questions, or the forums, you would have to conclude that as far as active members, there can't be anymore than a couple of hundred.
How can that be?
I would suggest that the hp audience should be in the thousands, and even tens or hundreds of thousands, but the metrics don't agree with that suggestion.
This is not new it has been happening for a long time.
Article section is not doing much better, in part because people don't see the return on their time in creating it.
Too many people simply do the ? & Forums
ew! Metrics! sounds official!- probably isn't, What did you eat last night?
I just looked at the Forum Political and Social Category.
There were 23 forums in the last 24 hours. How is that any different than the pathetic numbers in the same time period for the same category.
There couldn't be more than 100 or so active members on hubpages. Where is the volume, much less the quality.

I've been to several forums over the last year or so and have come up against the same couple people, time after time. They are usually in forums where discussions require opinions and ideas of a political/societal/scientific nature. These people will troll the forum topics, looking for...

Has anyone else noticed a serious drop in quality among the Question portion of HubPages? For the past several weeks, nearly every question that is featured in the "my account" section has been ripe with misspellings and just contain a general lack of worth in my opinion. I feel the...

I was reading an interesting Forum thread when I noticed one contributor has been a member for 11 months, has written no hubs, but has contributed to discussion 383 times - and amassed 9 followers. Another has been a member 21 months, has written no hubs, has 294 posts and has a dozen followers.I...
