Now that his books is published, it is a clear case of who is honest and who lied...
The interactions between Comey and Trump are well documented.
One of them is a liar.
    Let the investigation go forward.
This case is front and center between an elected President and a political appointee of an opposition party.
Comey has been a leaker and a member of the highest enforcement office of the land.
He is the face of the FBI, and this is not a good sign.
Why he chose to tell his story in this fashion is inexplicable?
There is more to this story than jst one person or two.
It is a whole institution that has been politicized beyond belief.

We need to get to the bottom of this quickly. Our country cannot have an ex FBI director calling the current president a mafia don.

It is like kids fighting in a sand box...not the leaders of the free world.
How far have we gone down the rabbit hole?

I certainly agree with you that this is "a clear case of who is honest and who lied..."

I just don't agree with your conclusion. For example, when Comey compares Trump to a mob boss, he's not saying anything that hasn't been documented elsewhere, much of it for decades. President Donald Trump is an “unethical” pathological liar.

Fewer than 40 percent of American voters see the president as honest is truly remarkable. Most humans, most of the time, believe other people. That’s our default setting. Usually, we need a reason to disbelieve.

There’s no question that Trump is a pathological liar. He lies all the time, often for no discernible reason. He is the veritable Paul Bunyan of presidential liars, a fabulist without parallel in the Oval Office.

Ptosis, I agree that Trump has lied and exaggerated and said outrageous things theough out the campaign...that is his MO and it worked well for him.
He is a master manipulator of the press who was hostile to him from day one...

You are missing the bigger picture.
There is no incentive for him to lie about this. He was just elected president under tremendous odds.
        He is riding high...
This incident was made up from the get go...and he knew it. He knew the content of the dossier was fake even though he might not know the details or the extent of the deception at the time. He had suspicion that the aobama admin. had wire tapped him and his colleagues.

On the other hand, Comey had every incentive to lie. He and his colleagues miscalculated. They thought Hilllary was going to win by a landslide. He did what he could to help her thinking he would keep his job. Once Trump got elected, he and his collegue are stuck. They knew they did stuff they were not suppose to. Like unmasking Trump admin. personnel and using the fake dossier to get a warrant to surveil and colluding... now they are in a bind. He used the dossier to get on Trumps good side for his own protection. As it turned out, Trump did not buy it and he was fired as he should...
He went to plan B and that is to use the russian collusion charge to impeach Trump to get him out of office.

Jack , It seems liberals are all happy as heck when the departments of the DOJ , FBI are politicised for thier party , elated even , but  a nation of law cannot survive the corruptions of it's upper law enforcement protections , like the SCOTUS , we must have protections from that !

Like all former FBI employees, Comey was required to share his book before publication with the Justice Department to look for classified material or anything related to an ongoing investigation, said DOJ spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores. An FBI official confirmed the bureau reviewed a draft “and concluded that none of the FBI information presented fell within a restricted area of disclosure.”

To some Democrats, it will confirm to many of them that the election was stolen from their side and that Comey was a bad actor.

For democrats  This only means that Trump -Russia collusion was an entirely fake , phony , false  entity .
Why ?  Because  Comey's liberal  "story book "could interfere with any legal evidentiary process , so has the  DOJ determined there must not be any evidence to collusion for the book to obstruct potential indictments or trials  ? It was always a fake accusation anyway .

OR even better  , can liberal strategist's really not think that far ahead ... Huuuuuh ?

I know , it's all to complicated for most to even begin fathoming ,let alone deciphering , a "nothing burger "as it is .
Comey should thank Trump for promoting his book though .

I've always been leary of translations of the first edition of biblical writings  . If Trumps a fool , then that fool sure kicked some Ashes in his bid towards his successful presidency .

We may not agree on POTUS45, but we can agree on improved translation techniques.

Speech reveals character. Careful, deliberate, profitable, and proper speech marks a wise man. Hasty, impulsive, vain, and froward words mark a foolish and wicked man. A fool seldom says anything profitable or suitable.

A fool only speaks or listens to one language ,The language of Obama P.C. .
I'd rather a blunt even a callous truth than an eloquent lie anyday. That WAS the language all to often spoken in politics.
He who has trouble understanding Trump isn't listening to begin with?

Who do we trust, who to believe?

A career FBI agent sworn to protect the nation from harm, a life long Republican married to one woman over 35 years.............OR......

A TV celebrity and real estate developer who has changed party affiliation nine times, a serial adulterer to currently three wives, and spent 5 years leading the Birther Movement claiming President Obama was a foreign imposter born in Kenya?

                    Who to believe?
