"Desperation and Despair"   for Democrats ?   Is this why they are NOW latching onto Socialism ?

Hope and change. It's like Bush wanting 'a kinder and gentler nation'. It sounds great. We all imagine what each would entail. But the things we imagine are not what government implements so the outcome is a disappointment.

Kinder and gentler gave hope and change the ability to be used as a rallying cry. Change has brought nothing but turmoil and great political divide. Maybe the next political slogan will be unity and harmony.

Except" Kinder and gentler" originated from  the party of selfless servitude and "Hope and change" from the party of well .......what's in it for me ?

So we're existing in a political world of biased liberal media domination , a divisive and profoundly socialist democratic war against America .

And I'm supposed to join the cry "Unity and harmony"?

Media had always been biased. Since the first town crier stepped into the square to proclaim news. Anyone who has known an event first hand knows this. And, in fairness, both ends have their own 'fake news' floating around.

But, until we respect the views of others and listen with a sympathetic ear we can't find common ground. I see neither side willing to do that.

Isn't it just the hard wiring of individuals though ,
And the "burned out wiring" of our , at this point, fake media ? Compromise is great but when only one party is participating in such compromise?

Seems to me conservatives haven't changed much and so can't justify offering  much in compromising ?
Why should a steadfast ideology change towards that which is offered as the sole answer ?
