Trump dangles a pardon for Manafort.

    After Bob Mueller broke the plea deal with Manafort, the news came out Manafort's attorneys had been conversing with Trump's lawyers to tell them what Mueller's team was looking for and the questions asked. Even thought this is technically legal, it may eventually come back to haunt Trump as a form of obstruction of justice.


    Today Trump said a pardon for Manafort wasn't off the table, literally telling Manafort to keep quiet and he could expect a pardon. Unfortunately for Manafort, Trump cannot pardon him from any charges filed by the state. Will he pardon Manafort, or will he throw him under the bus as is his MO?

      A potential pardon might raise another question. Will the states move in with their charges if he is pardoned from the federal charges?

        I'd bet so, GA. He's flaunted the law with his money laundering among other things.

      Yep, perjury traps are a myth, ED. I realize you too know Trump cannot tell the truth for any length of time.
