I have just receieved this email from the White House and I was wondering what fellow Hubbers think of Obama.

    Good Afternoon

Tomorrow evening, President Obama will stand before a joint session of Congress and deliver his first State of the Union address outlining where we are and where we’re going as a Nation. In preparation for this annual address, he asked his Cabinet to take a moment to prepare a similar report for the American people.

In short videos, members of the President’s Cabinet report back to you on their progress this first year and outline what lies ahead for their departments and agencies to keep America moving forward. Secretary Sebelius talks about the Department of Health and Human Services' successes helping to prevent the spread of the H1N1 virus; Department of Energy Secretary Chu highlights the thousands of green jobs they’ve created using Recovery Act dollars; and Secretary Clinton details the Department of State’s efforts to restore global partnerships.

Take a look and get a sense of what’s to come in tomorrow’s State of the Union address:

When President Obama took office a year ago, we faced an array of historic challenges: an economy in freefall, job losses averaging almost 700,000 a month, a middle class under assault, two wars and badly frayed global alliances.

Faced with these unparalleled challenges, the President and his Cabinet got to work. The Administration took bold steps to rescue the country from a potential second Great Depression; to rebuild the economy for the long-term, so businesses can thrive, the middle class can grow and all our families can be more secure; and to restore America’s leadership in the world as we wrestle with the global challenges of the 21st Century.

Check out the Cabinet’s reports and learn more about what we’ve done this past year and how we plan to keep our Nation moving forward in the next.

    Thank you,

    Valerie Jarrett
    Senior Advisor to the President

That's the biggest pile of BS I ever saw!! The sad truth is half of the country believes it! Virtually everything this president has done or proposes to do is bad for the economy and bad for the middle class and bad for freedom loving people! Obama is inexperienced, a liar and a narcissist. He's a one term president whose damage to this country will take decades to rectify!

We need decades to rectify the rape and robbery of this Country by Reagan, and the two Bushes.  The last Bush actually rob the United States Treasury for his friends.  And you talk about Obama?    for real.....

To answer the header question, and to put it in the terms of Jimmie the Tulip, it depends on your “religiosity Oz.”

My bet, as to general direction, is down, politically, theologically and philosophically; but what do I know, I’m a conservative.

The email looks like typical political BS not worthy of comment or consideration

Well he's a hell of a lot less popular then when he was campaigning!

Look what he ran on...he was going to bring peace, prosperity, stop global warming, create jobs, bring respect back to America, provide everyone with health care and cut the deficit without raising taxes. He was going to change the way Washington works, stop the lobbyists and special interests and be completely transparent and work in a bipartisan fashion to solve this nations problems.

Every one of those promises he's broken! He's bankrupting the country, polarizing Washington more than ever trying to ram down the throats of the public bill that have been crafted in secret with backroom deals with unions and other lobbies. Obama is showing his true face, the face of his agenda to "fundamentally transform" into a socialist republic! He will go down in history as the worst President ever to preside over this country beating Carter by a wide margin!

Every presidential election promises are made and never kept.  Yet people keep voting in the people who make the biggest promises.  So who is to blame?

Presidents are not elected, they are selected.  We get to choose from whomever we believe is the lesser of the two evils.

He was popular because he wasn't George Bush.

Why are Big Macs popular? Not because they're good, but because they're advertised well and heavily. Same with Obama.
