Aside from being a bad speller or a bad typer, President Trump tweeted about "global waming" questioning the veracity of global warming amidst this recent cold spell.
Yes, global warming is a thing - changed to climate change by right-wingers to make it sound less scary - it's even backed up by real science. Yes, it's real. Yes, it's a thing. Yes, the planet is heating up and getting hotter and hotter due to the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere. Yes, it's caused by humans. All backed up by that little thing called "science".
Does this tweet make him the dumbest President of all-time?
I mean, that kind of inference is pretty damn stupid.
I don't know about "the dumbest," but there's no doubt he's the most ignorant POTUS of all time!
Stupid is probably not nice. You state it is'caused' by humans, as if only humanity is responsible for warming temperatures. That is inaccurate and those who believe such I wouldn't call stupid. I'd call them woefully uninformed.
Is the globe warming. Certainly. Can we do things to offset our influence. Certainly. Will those changes effect the outcome in a meaningful way? What is meaningful? If they would, would changes by 1st world nations change the outcome if 2nd and 3rd world nations do not participate in efforts?
The questions are greater than our ability to answer definitively. Let's leave stupid off the table.
I think some things are so serious that shaming people is necessary, but I appreciate your point. Woefully uninformed is pretty close to stupid.
And the argument you are making - regarding how much we can change things now through behavior and what the costs will be - is a far cry from denying that global warming is a serious issue and not a hoax.

There are two major would shaping forces at risk with a Trump presidency; an economic meltdown brought on by a sharp decline in American productivity, and, a much more important one, the environment. I will leave the economy to another forum, for it is the environment I am much more worried...

The great global warming propaganda hoax is melting away and the truth beneath is starting to show, and there is a need for a reform of the way the IPCC collects and reviews data. What do you think?http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/e … 991177.ecehttp://theresilientearth.com/?q=content...

Should Trump be sending out tweets of foreign policy while Obama is still President? As far as I know, Obama is still president until January 20th. The constitution only allows one president at a time. Trump's tweet on a nuclear arms race with Putin are not to be taken lightly and can have a...
