Gee , that's too bad ,.......    That simply informs anyone with any brains that the mainstream media  cannot stand  being unable to filter in or out their own agenda to press room releases ? If the rest of the world has social media and uses it in an immature , uninformed and negative context , Why Can't  Trump?

Seriously? That is your defense? If others can be immature, uninformed and negative why can't the POTUS follow suit?

This sounds, to me, like the lowest common denominator disregard for Clinton's actions during the Monica Lewinsky debacle.

So essentially you have a problem with the ideal of free speech between  everyone in the world ----and the exception of  the man in the white house ?

Yea ........  but it's only me that has a problem with that .

        Not.

    "Trump Tweets Disappoint Mainstream Media"

So glad to see the title to this post. It suggests that the mainstream media have a degree of common sense and a concern for the damage which Mr Trump's ridiculous infantile tweets are doing to the reputation of America. Perhaps you need more people like the mainstream media?

As for the rest of the post - Oh dear, I'm sure you don't really think it's OK for the President of the United States to send immature, uninformed and negative messages? Just because there's a whole bunch of morons in the world who send stupid tweets, does the President have to be one of them? Or is a slightly higher standard expected of him?

    Newsflash !

This nonsense of social /mainstream media  has all come to fruition BECAUSE of the media and  you guys want us to believe its Trumps fault.    Have any of you listened in to any , ANY press room  questions . The Trump machine cannot get past answering  about phony  pecan pies ,   locker room  language barriers ,  the great new invention of who's Russian collusion is taking over the world.

Problem , There is a media war against the actual will of the historic American voting public ,that small percentage that actually cares  ! The democratic party has become the American Socialist Dictatorship ,   the college campuses all across America are the new day- care -protest -learning -centers,  But some people Want the Don to stop tweeting .

The News Media in America is working FOR the establishment two party system of tyrants that doesn't want to go quietly down the drain !

    More to come !

I remember when Trump was one of 16 candidates and you couldn't stand his "immature" behavior. It has been fascinating to watch how dramatically your tune changed once he was elected leader of your tribe.

I suppose one benefit of his tweeting is we get to know what is on his mind and what he considers important. I submit that if you defend his tweeting, then you are also revealing what you consider important and acceptable in a leader. Your standards are pretty darn low, aren't they?

He is a low, low man in a high place and about 35% of the people in our nation approve.

This video of Joy Behar cheering the Flynn news this morning is a good case study for how partisans disseminate information. She has only the smallest, most basic idea of what has happened, and she treats it as a game changer anyway. You wonder how "fake news" spreads? Watch: Idiot!
      https://twitter.com/BecketAdams/status/ … 9817624583

This shows exactly how the MSM works - a fake ABC story fuels the "aspirational" take of the extreme liberal left - and then they celebrate what turns out to be nothing that was not already known to the public... roll

Addressing a panel in Simi Valley on Saturday, the CIA chief was asked whether Donald Trump’s addiction to Twitter makes the CIA’s job “harder.”

“I’ve actually seen it help us,” Pompeo responded. He added that “things the president has put on his Twitter account actually have a real-world impact on our capacity to understand what’s going on in other places of the world.”

“That is, our adversaries responded to those tweets in ways that were helpful to us to understand command and control issues, who’s listening to what messages, how those messages are resonating around the world.”

Interesting that only the opposition does not want Trump tweeting.

    1. Greensleeves Hubs profile image92

Donald Trump tweeting in the way he does is frankly ridiculous, and it absolutely certainly isn't only the opposition who want him to stop - unless by 'opposition' you are including probably every world leader of note, including America's closest allies. There isn't, I suspect, any sensible person in authority anywhere in the world who thinks the way he tweets is a good idea, or helpful to relations with the U.S.

Of course people respond to his tweets because he's the President of the United States. But adversaries of America only have it confirmed in their own minds that Trump is an unstable and dangerous individual, whilst friends of America just shake their heads in disbelief.

If Trump's tweets really help the CIA 'to understand what's going on in other places in the world', then all I can say is that the CIA's intelligence gathering must be at an extremely pathetic low ebb if they have to rely on responses to Trump's tweets in order to understand the world better.

You ,as many others , view Trump tweets as somehow some sort of a diplomatic communication process , It isn't . For one it is his tool to communicate beyond the filtration process of our new obstructive ,mainstream , face-book style news media .
If you  as president said , "I want to end violent crime" , and the media translated that immediately to  say , "Trumps hates the criminal system , " What would you do?

The world views it negatively , Too Bad .

        1. Greensleeves Hubs profile image92
Greensleeves Hubsposted 6 years agoin reply to this

I recognise that Trump's tweets are not diplomatic - anything but!, but whether they serve any useful purpose other than to show which biased and bigoted news outlets he relies upon for his information - I'm not so sure.

'I want to end violent crime' --- 'Trump hates the criminal system' Somehow I suspect there may be a little bit more to that exchange of viewpoints than that statement indicates. To suggest the mainstream media said that he hates the criminal system simply because he wants to end violent crime, is exactly the kind of fake reporting of speeches and commentary which you object to in others.

'The world views it negatively. Too bad'. Well, OK. Some in America seem to think they can live in an isolationist bubble and that nobody else's perception of America matters. Maybe that was once the case. Not so sure it is now, and it certainly won't be in the future.

Yet , guess what ?    No one outside of the US get's to dictate internal US. policy , that's been going on too long .    What you probably also don't know is how much our news media has devolved away from  media integrity  IN JUST FIVE  years .   Once the best example of transparency in the world , now nearly the most ideologically biased .
That you probably haven't picked on your radar.

Manafort and Gates acted as unregistered agents of the Government of Ukraine.  (2006 and 2015)  There was no Russian collusion.  Corruption, yeah!

Who is this other Russian suppose to be, Randy.  I do not see any headlines supporting what you posted.  Can you link us up, I would like to verify that.

It's breaking news on all channels other than Fox of course. Manafort was caught yet again by the FBI working on an editorial--expressly prohibited by his bail terms--with another member of a Russian Intelligence. Also a no-no. He's either stupid, ignorant or his arrogance is beyond belief.

It remains to be seen what the judge will do about his pending bail and/or freedom before his trial date. Believe it or don't. Makes no difference to me at all. smile

"James Comey admitted that Hillary Clinton lied multiple times to the FBI during her criminal investigation. Each time counts as a felony.

Clinton's false exculpatory statements showed intent and consciousness of guilt."

Lies, lies, lies...and they wanted to elect a liar? Birds of a feather?

Now, when the FBI director admits that Hillary Clinton lied to him and the FBI how is that itself not a criminal charge based on the Gen Flynn double standard?

Comey repeatedly admitted that Hillary Clinton lied.

Audio and video, under oath.  Can't just make things up!

Comey testified under oath to Congress that Hillary did not lie to the FBI.

You're trying to deflect. Whether she lied or not has no bearing on the current investigation.

BTW, Ty Cobb, a WH attorney predicts the investigation will be over soon, so most people are taking his lead.  But, he predicted it would be over by Thanksgiving, so...take it for what its worth.

Chaffetz, July 7, 2016: Did Hillary Clinton lie?

Comey: To the FBI? We have no basis to conclude she lied to the FBI.

Chaffetz: Did she lie to the public?

Comey: That’s a question I’m not qualified to answer. I can speak about what she said to the FBI.

If everyone did, maybe we could have some better dialogue here. I don't have any better solution, since I tried to get a direct, on-topic response from horse and failed.
