Yes, but do you have personal rapport with any of them?

OR, may be you yourself are a politician?!  ):

It's always worth listening to western politicians. Mostly they tell you what they think is true even it often sounds crazy.

The media, and the bloggers and all the distortion factories of the web are far more deceitful than the average politician of a major party in a well established democracy.

More like they tell you what they think you want to hear.  There is another one in that they don't answer the question you ask but the one they want you to ask.

Still all lies and deceit designed to get re-elected.

You need to learn to listen carefully and also be aware of who the politician is addressing. A politician is often forced to serve up a sound bite. An American politician addressing an election rally will be obliged to lay the patriotism and sentimentality on thick. A politician making a speech to a business audience will deal more with the bottom line. A politician who has retired and is giving a long interview for posterity will try to reveal his true motives, and the constraints faced, in as favorable a light as he can manage.

Listen carefully, understand the setting and you can get something close to the truth.

I disagree.  Politicians are subhuman parasites.
