Many Liberals, Progressives, & Leftists believe that the government should gave the American people a COMFORTABLE life through taxation of working people.  This is ADOLESCENT, IMMATURE thinking.  Grownups REALIZE that if one wants something, h/she must WORK for it.  Work has become an obscene word to many Liberals, Progressives, & Leftists. The Democratic Party has become the Leftist Socialist/Communist Party of America!

From observation of the extreme liberal agenda.   No news platform. I don't even watch FOX news.  I watch CNN, NBC, ABC, & CBS.   I have always had the abovementioned views regarding individual responsibility.   I believe that people should earn their way; however, there are exceptions such as physical, emotional, intellectual, mental, & psychological challenges which preclude some from being fully self-sufficient(yes, such people should be helped-it would be inhumane, even barbaric not to).   However, if one is physically, intellectually, emotionally, & psychological able, h/she should work & earn his/her way.    Yes, there are temporary hard times such as terminations & layoffs- such people should also be helped until they recover socioeconomically.   I just think & observe.  I never was a follower of any political line whether Democrat or Republican.   I always thought outside the box, even as a child.     Still reasonable Randy & PP, love you both.  Glad to have you both in the forums.   Liberals have MORE good points than bad.  I am a traditional Liberal who believe in equal rights & opportunities for all.  Also believe in women's rights(I am a feminist), pro-choice, advocate for LBGT people,  universalist in scope(I'll explain that later), & am a New Ager(yes, I don't believe in organized religions of any kind-too medieval).

My rant is that I want people to do for themselves & stop depending upon the government.  I want people to own their lives & not be slaves.  Being dependent is the worst thing a human being can be-it takes away freedom & independence.  I was brought up to NEVER depend upon anyone for anything.  Dependence means being OWNED.   I also want the middle classes to thrive & have more of their money-they worked hard enough for it.   Through my mother's work as a nurse, I was told of welfare fraud & people who indicated that they wouldn't work for all the tea in China & that the government owed them a livelihood.   I had these views since I was teenager.   I remember in college, I stated the same thing & one student indicated that she should slap my face!  She was totally for the welfare state.  She believed that the government owed people a livelihood.   There was one woman who was on welfare who spoke at my college.  She complained how little she received for welfare yet she indicated that she didn't want to work.  She believe that welfare should PAY HER MORE!!!!!   My Caribbean father taught me that no one owes anyone anything & that to be dependent was akin to being a parasite.  West Indians don't take kindly to laziness.
