This may not be news to some, but it is to me.

Andrew Giuliani works in the Trump administration as a "special assistant to the president". He began working there in March 2017, earning a salary of $90,700.

Before joining the White House Andrew played golf for a living, a role that's unlikely to have given him the legal, business or political experience that would qualify him for the role of special assistant to the president of the United States.
    https://www.golfdigest.com/story/kindred-2008-12

Some in the administration suspect Andrew may not have gotten the job on merit:

"Yet for the differing opinions on the nature of [Andrew] Giuliani’s role, the officials I spoke to were certain that Giuliani had nabbed a White House post in the first place because of his father. A second former senior White House official plainly called it 'a nepotism job'..."

And it appears Mr. Giuliani Jnr. does enjoy the benefits of his father's relationship with Trump:

"[John] Kelly revoked Andrew’s West Wing access, disrupting the staffer’s otherwise freewheeling setup. Giuliani 'flipped out' about the downgrade, the third former official said. Four of the former officials said Giuliani’s father immediately spoke about it with Trump, who then ordered Kelly to restore Giuliani’s pass and promote him to special assistant to the president".

Hunter and Joe Biden faced criticism from certain quarters as some people believe Hunter Biden got a highly paid job on the back of his father's name, even though he may not have been qualified for it. Despite similar circumstances, criticism of Andrew and Rudy Giuliani has been somewhat less extensive.

It appears everyone is equal, but some people are more equal than others.

Let's get this straight. Guilliani's son may have gotten his job in the White House through his dad's connections. That's bad.

But you are saying that is apples to apples where a guy gets a job with a corrupt corporation, possibly stealing money from a corrupt government, possibly being paid laundered money, who's father,an official with the US government may have used arm twisting with the threat of withholding US aid as the impetus to force a corrupt government not to investigate corruption of the corporation this guy may have been a part of simply because of who his dad was.

Not apples to apples. Both bad, one much much worse.

Yes, and he has received very little criticism for the possibility he got a job he may be unqualified for based on who his father is. In contrast Hunter Biden has received extensive criticism for possibly doing the same thing, irrespective of the other, unfounded, allegations you listed.

Well duh...….yes.  How do you think wealthy children obtain jobs?  Chelsea Clinton obtained a six figure job out of Oxford through her father's connections.  Wealthy children, on average, obtain jobs through...…….CONNECTIONS of one kind or another.   Please get real here.  Even upper middle children obtain jobs through connections either parental, familial, or through friendship.   Only the lower echelons have to get jobs on their own because they unfortunately DON'T have the connections.

Isn't "Special Assistant" just a fancy word for gopher?

      I wished I made $90K to be someone's gopher...

It must be nice having a Dad who can get you a job at $90K a year for just being a gopher...

I am sure his dad helped...Although I am not sure why, in this case it is a big deal? He is a gopher...a job that doesn't require any special skills...

I know quite a few folks who have gotten jobs, college admissions,  based on who their references were...

Am I missing something that is supposed to be illegal or something?

There is a difference between getting a gopher job and a position on the board of a company...one requires no skills at all...the other does...or at least experience...

              Not to mention...

And a company that is foreign...

And a company that was and might still be suspected of corruption...

That is comparing apples to hand grenades...

I don't know if Hunter or Joe did anything actually wrong (other than the video of Joe seemed very shady)...but the appearance is not good at all...and as we know in politics appearances or perception is everything...right....Facts don't matter...
