This is something many of us knew without being told by the Justice Department.

“WASHINGTON — The Justice Department has concluded that two of the four court orders allowing the FBI to conduct secret national security surveillance on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page were not valid because the government made "material misstatements" in obtaining them, according to a newly declassified judicial order.

The disclosure by James Boasberg, the top judge on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court underscores the extent to which the FBI bungled its handling of a highly sensitive case, a failure that is continuing to have serious policy and political repercussions.

The order says the department told the court it now believes it did not have probable cause to believe that Page was acting as an agent of a foreign power, which was required to obtain the surveillance.”

So? no big deal, people make mistakes all the time like that right? Nothing to see here. Material misstatements? Well I’m sure it was done accidentally, right? I mean they were probably hungover from a night with prostitutes when writing the orders. Who can blame them?
If Trump wasn’t such a derelict the FBI wouldn’t have had to spy on him, right?

In a sane world, submitting false information to a court for a court order is a felony.  I have no idea why these people in the FBI have not or will not be punished for doing such a thing.  Attorneys have been disbarred and charged for doing such a thing.  I guess things are different if you are a member of the FBI.  Maybe rules don't apply to you that apply to others.

        It doesn't seem right.
