My forum posting has been deleted for some reason...
Just testing to see what is going on.

my topic was on AOC and a political comment. It was deleted about 1 minute after I submitted it.

That's strange that your forum post was deleted, Jack. You are usually unbiased with political topics, and I trust this one was no different. Out of curiosity, I will check the forum rules and HP FAQ.

When things happen like this, I am more apt to have my own website.
I hope you are able to get to the bottom of this experience and feel satisfied with whatever you learn.

This is still a free country, and freedom of speech is still an inalienable right. Liability for "bearing false witness," of course is always a consideration, but the way some of my hubs have been butchered in the past, I suspect HP, not you, may have made a mistake in this instance.

I'll be following this discussion (rare for me).

I didn't find anything unusual for forum postings. We're simply supposed to be polite. Did you contact the HubPages Team directly?

no, I did not contact them. It is just not important to me. I just want to know if it was a glitch or it is some form of censorship. It would be nice if they would just send a quick note as to why they did what they did. Leaving it up to me to guess seems ineffective. How would I know it won't happen again since I did not know what my offense was...

The speed of it was also strange. How did it happen so fast within a minute of my post. Was there an automatic mechanism AI looking at the posts? and make a decision based on some keywords?

Occasionally bugs do happen. I remember one time I was getting "broken link" messages. While editing them, I began to notice that some were actually working links. When I queried HubPages team, they explained a bug had infiltrated the system, and they were fixing it. The links were okay after that.

i had similar experience with some ad photos. All of a sudden, some of the photos inserted by HP in my article was coming up very magnified. It looks like a super zoom into a portion the image. I did report this to HP and they were not aware of it happening. I had to send them a screen capture to illustrate the problem. It took them a while and after a few back and forth, they finally resolved it.

Bummer! This doesn't encourage me to be active here. It does make me wonder if an HP team member has strong political affiliations and simply didn't like the post. I did see the question below about filters. Hmm.

Best wishes, Jack. Signing out of this thread...

Do you have any filters turned on from feed settings?
