The world’s top oil producers pulled off a historic deal to cut global petroleum output by nearly a 10th, putting an end to the devastating price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia.
After a week-long marathon of bilateral calls and four days of video conferences with government ministers from around the world -- including the OPEC+ alliance and the Group of 20 nations -- an agreement finally emerged to tackle the impact of the global pandemic on demand.
The talks almost fell apart because of resistance from Mexico, but came back from the brink after a weekend of urgent diplomacy, including the personal intervention of President Donald Trump, who helped broker the solution.

I wonder how the fake news media (CNN, MSNBC, NYT, etc.) will report this!

I would say if the media can't find a negative spin then they'll ignore it, entirely.

I think the OP's point was Trump played a key role in getting some back on track so the deal went through.

That was the aspect I was addressing. If true, then that detail was not found in the articles. I don't know enough about the deal to know what part Trump played, if any, but the usual media MO (except for The Hill, which I respect) is 'if you don't have anything bad to say about Trump, don't say anything at all.'

I quoted an article off Bloomberg but the WSJ said a lot more about Trump’s involvement.

Guess fake news includes those who selectively omit news from their stories like CNN does all the time.

When the intent is to convince the reader that something false is actually true, whether by an outright lie, misleading information, partial stories or anything else, then it is fake news.  A lie.

                They all mentioned Trump role.

The agreement reached on Sunday was the result of more than a week of telephone conversations involving Mr. Trump; the Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman; and President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia. Mr. Trump praised the deal, saying on Twitter that it “will save hundreds of thousands of energy jobs in the United States.” - NYTimes (They also included a pic of the tweet.)

At a news conference Friday, Trump confirmed he spoke to the Mexican President and agreed to a cut, though he did not confirm the exact size. He said Mexico would reimburse the US at a later date.
"It's a small amount for us, a large amount for Mexico," he said.
Trump tweeted Sunday that the "big Oil Deal with OPEC Plus is done" and said that he spoke with Russia and Saudi Arabia leadership. - CNN

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Friday that U.S. President Donald Trump had offered to make extra U.S. cuts on his behalf, an unusual offer by a Trump who has long railed against OPEC. - Fox News (Also a pic of the tweet)

I'll take your word for it. I skimmed the articles in question.

I see you've now included Fox news in your list. I'm not surprised at that inclusion. They have never appeared to hesitate to include positive or negative Trump news in their coverage.
