VP Mike Pence was recently put in charge of of the COVID-19 task for which is the worst idea possible. As Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put it, Mike Pence literally does not believe in science. During his time as governor, Pence has taken away the legitimacy of the health concerns. He once stated that "smoking does not kill" even though, according to scientific research, smoking has led to a development of lung cancer, heart disease, and oral complications. Pence did not even put on a mask when visiting a hospital that was treating COVID-19 patients because he found it unnecessary. This act alone really puts into perspective how serious Mike Pence is taking this virus.

In addition to his firm hatred of science, Mike Pence does not have ANY medical background. If you are to put someone in charge of dealing with this pandemic, wouldn't you want someone who has a long medical background and has studied the anatomy of the human body and pathogens? Mike Pence does not have any of these qualifications, yet the president, being the idiot he is, put this man in charge solely because he is his VP.

What are your thoughts, should conservative Mike Pence be allowed to serve the leader of the COVID-19 task force?

His entering the Mayo Clinic without wearing a mask tells one all they need to know about Pence.

He can't wear a mask because he must be ready on a moment's notice to kiss Trump's @ss.

He used the excuse of he liked to look people in the eyes. Like his eyes would be covered up....

And the next day the excuse was that he was tested often, so knows he was not infected in the last couple of days.  Besides, he didn't know the Mayo requires masks; apparently didn't listen when the rules were explained.

And the following day didn't mention it, but wore a mask.

Pretty stupid move.  Especially with everyone around him wearing a mask.  The only thing sillier was the Mayo letting him in without a mask.  He lost most of my respect over his insistence that rank has it's privileges, even at the expense of other's lives.

Pence, is in many ways is worse than Trump. Putting Pence in charge is just another sign of the President's tendency to exercise poor judgement.

I did not like the idea that Pence did not wear a mask at the Mayo Clinic. As a high level representive of Government, what message is he sending to the people that he is supposed to be serving?

He can keep that phony, evangelical persona to himself. Regardless of whether he believed in the appropriateness of wearing a mask, he needs to think of others besides himself and what is best for them.

This GOP administration is a total disaster, all around.
