My new hub "Im a Celebrity get me out of Here" is about an Irish celebrity who got elected to our parliment 8 months ago and resigned yesterday......should celebrities be barred from politics........are they simply using and abusing our systems to get more profile.....
The story goes that everyone born in the USA or has been naturalized an American has the right to hold office. I suppose this would include celebrities. Ronald Reagan wasn't your worst president. I have heard mixed reports about Schwarzenegger and California. Clint Eastward seems to have done alright in local politics. So there you have it.
thanks Rod, well I would say I preferred Ronald in the movies, Arnie great, Clint is a demi god on the screen
Before we bar celebrities from holding office we need to bar professional politicians.
thanks Hokey...we dont get the American wrestling over here
Thank God for small mercies...We don't get USA wrestling here either. Or at least not on regular stations. Maybe its on cable...
Cali is stuck with Arnold Schwarzeneger and he is doing a crappy job...he wants to kill animals in shelters faster just to they can get more money for Cali. he needs to go bye bye...he is doing other stuff too but that one hits home for me
In a democracy every citizen has a right to become involved in politics if they wish. And in the UK, I can't see how a bunch of celebrities could do a worse job than most of our politicians anyway?
Also most of our politicians seem to want to be celebrities more than they want to be politicians?
Celebrity actors/actress or any other, should have a right to be in the political arena. It's their rights as a citizen of the country they born in.
Do realize, I said born in. Example: Arnold, in Cali, like Crazdwriter already said is doing a horrible job.
Then again, he wasn't American BORN and should NOT be in political office, regardless of what level of government, state or federal.
If you were NOT born in the Country, you cannot run for office.

Did the Republican senate ignore Americans, just to spite Obama? In the recent failure to pass new background checks for gun purchases, the Republican senate ignored the overwhelming support of the American citizens to pass this bill.
