Recently, I was on Instagram when I saw a story by well-known conservative public figure, Christian Walker, during a run to Starbucks. While on his coffee run, he encounters African-American singer Khelani, who seems to be advising the Starbucks employees about Walker's social media presence. This interaction concludes with Walker coming up to the singer and demanding that she stop insulting him to others based on his conservative values.
What makes me curious about this issue is the juxtaposition of the encounter. Walker addresses the interaction on social media, slamming Khelani that she is being overly-sensitive and triggered over someone like him with conservative values. However, Walker should not be one to point the finger at Khelani for her actions, as his social media personality has been created to slam and insult those with a different point of view than he has. One of his most famous examples is his absolute disdain for Pride Month and the various Pride Flags deeming them "Flags from Hell" and screams at the top of his lungs whenever he sees them at the Starbucks he frequents. Moreover, he often is found insulting Starbucks workers whenever his coffee is not to his liking calling them "lazy liberal stimulus collectors." Finally, his attacks on the former First Lady, Michelle Obama, are far from merciful. He often makes comments about her muscular physique and often jokes that she is a man in disguise, even though he advocates for left-leaning individuals to go to the gym and live a healthy lifestyle, which the First Lady has done and advocates for individuals to do on an international level.
While Walker can be vulgar at times, he should not slam Khelani for being triggered by his presence as he does the same to others he does not agree with.
