New York judge rules Trump committed fraud and lied about his net worth for years
A New York judge ruled in the state attorney general's $250 million lawsuit against Donald Trump and his company Tuesday that the former president committed repeated acts of fraud for years.
According to the ruling, which allows the civil trial to begin next week, Trump lied to banks and insurers by both overvaluing and undervaluing his assets when it was to his benefit while exaggerating his net worth to the tune of billions of dollars.
In his 35-page ruling, Judge Arthur Engoron said Trump continually lied on his financial statements and was able to get favorable loan terms and lower insurance premiums as a result.
The ruling would dissolve numerous limited liability companies, or LLCs, associated with Trump, including the Trump Organization LLC, an entity that’s been been used to expand the Trump brand through use of his name.
So, a proven sexual attacker and a proven corrupt man. Good for you, MAGA!
Former White House lawyer Ty Cobb said in an interview on CNN Wednesday that former President Trump’s legal team had “no defenses” against the civil case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James over alleged business fraud.
“Trump had no defenses,” Cobb said. “And as the judge pointed out, I mean, his opinion is very detailed, very judicious, you know, littered with citations, appropriate citations and criticism of the defense arguments and highlighting the overwhelming evidence against him, but he basically points out that Trump relentlessly, as you have highlighted, you know, puts forth claims that simply are not true, that have no foundation, that cannot be supported by the facts.”
Cobb served as a White House lawyer in 2017 and 2018, and focused on matters related to the federal investigation of Trump and the 2016 election. He’s repeatedly criticized Trump in recent months, including by comparing him to a mob boss.
New York judge issues gag order after Trump attacks clerk on Truth Social
he judge overseeing former President Trump’s New York fraud trial issued a limited gag order for all parties Tuesday after Trump’s Truth Social account made a post targeting the judge’s principal clerk while she sat just feet away from him in the courtroom.
Judge Arthur Engoron issued the gag order barring Trump and any party in the case from posting or speaking publicly about members of his staff, after Trump released personally identifying information about the principal clerk on Truth Social while the hearing was underway.
The trial judge, without naming Trump, addressed the court on the matter, saying “one of the defendants” posted a “disparaging, untrue and personally identifying post” about his staff, and though the judge ordered it deleted, it had been emailed out to “millions of other recipients.”
“Personal attacks on members of my court staff are not appropriate, and I will not tolerate it under any circumstance,” Engoron said.
He added that he warned counsel off the record about the former president’s comments yesterday, but the warning went unheeded.

Thanks to the SCOTUS there will NO LONGER be any nationwide injunctions from rogue federal district court judges. I agree with the Supreme Court, these judges far exceeded their authority. There were also important rulings for parents and more.Nationwide injunctionsIn the most...

So if we understand the suit, the GOP wants states to send both sets of electors to Congress and the VP can determine which to count. Why are we even having elections then? The VP of the sitting party just chooses the president under this argument.https://www.yahoo.com/news/gohmert-suit...

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_ … ogyny.htmlThis:"Donald Trump holds one core belief. It’s not limited government. He favored a state takeover of health care before he was against it. Nor is it economic populism. Despite many years of arguing the necessity of taxing the rich, he...
