Over the next two days, world leaders are gathering in NYC for the UN's 'Summit of the Future', which aims to tackle "international challenges" such as "out of control geopolitical divisions", "runaway climate change", and "runaway development of new technologies like artificial intelligence".

"Our institutions simply can't keep up. Crises are interacting and feeding off each other. For example, as digital technologies spread climate disinformation that deepens distrust and fuels polarisation."

"Global institutions and frameworks are today totally inadequate to deal with these complex and even existential challenges."

"We can't create a future fit for our grandchildren with systems built for our grandparents."

"The Summit of the Future is an essential first step towards making global institutions more legitimate, effective, and fit for the world of today and tomorrow."

As the focus remains on New World Order progression toward a Borderless world whose governments exist to protect the rights and desires of International Corporate and Financial Institution dominance... our Global Leaders can no longer even see the needs of the people, or how to better their lives.

They are so busy with their efforts to destroy what has been... so that they can build their utopian future unburdened by what has been, that they do not realize the collapse of the societal norms that they are so earnestly pursuing means the complete collapse of our civilization is being brought to fruition.

It is sad to see that what the richest and most powerful pursue, is nothing more than an escalation to increase the power and control they already have.

Their solution to the salvation we so clearly need, is our destruction, which they happily march us toward, as they believe they have the intellect and answers we (humanity) needs... "we" being "they" not "us"... for many, their desire is to rid the world of as many of "us" as they can, in a humane way... if possible.

"runaway climate change"... the hubris, the arrogance, the idiocy to think that we can control the Sun. Solar flares, geomagnetic storms, the hastening shift of the poles, the slowing of the earth's core, the unseen meteor shower... we have no way of stopping any of it.

If a new Ice Age is around the corner, there is nothing we can do to stop it, we can only react to it.  If the world is going to become a Green House, same thing.

We can control the massive amount of plastic pollution we dump into our oceans which becomes part of the food chain, which we in turn digest.

We can control the massive amount of radiation damage we are doing to our food sources if we stop shelling the world's richest farmlands with radioactive artillery rounds that contaminate and kill the soil.

There are a lot of things they could do, that have nothing to do with the lies that we can control or alter Climate Change by adding a Carbon Tax to people literally living and breathing oxygen.

That spawned reflection on 'Soylent Green' as a metaphor or perhaps a simile regarding the 'big boys' and the peons they socially condition for nefarious purposes or pure 'greed' of some type - wealth, power, and etc.

What is scary about Soylent Green is not the deception of the 'ruling elites'...

It is the inability of earth to produce the food resources required to sustain human life.

We seem so very close to that becoming our reality today.

All it takes is one wrong decision with our war against Russia and we will be thrown hundreds of years back, only worse, our world may be so polluted by radiation there is no hope for our longterm survival, let alone evolving humanity to a more enlightened state.

I completely agree with the sentiment that our global leaders often seem disconnected from the realities faced by everyday people. As they gather for the UN's "Summit of the Future," it’s crucial to recognize that while they discuss GRAND solutions for international challenges, their focus in the past tended to drift towards maintaining the status quo of power structures that prioritize corporate and financial interests over the needs of the populace.

The notion that we can craft a better world with outdated systems reflects a profound misunderstanding of the complexities we face today. Leaders often push for initiatives like carbon taxes, believing they can control environmental outcomes through money money money, yet this approach frequently overlooks the direct, tangible actions we could take—like reducing pollution and addressing soil health—that genuinely impact our planet. The very soil that grows our food...

Moreover, the arrogance in thinking we can fully manage global climate systems, while ignoring natural phenomena like solar flares and shifting geological conditions, is alarming. Instead of tackling the root causes of pollution and environmental degradation, the focus remains on theoretical models and taxation strategies that ultimately burden the very people they claim to serve.   If we’re to forge a path toward a sustainable future, it requires a complete reassessment of our priorities—one that truly puts humanity at the forefront rather than the ambitions of a select few.

Side note --- I would like to see the U.S. distance itself from the UN and potentially establish a new organization to represent global interests.
