Another faker (a guy who was married, BUT GAY INSIDE) and he knew it
I think you missed the more interesting aspects of that particular story
Yeah he was ousted for voting against the health care bill instead of his inappropriate behavior?
Health care bills passed both the House and Senate. Likewise, his vote was not needed.
The Democrat leadership want "ethical" individuals to represent the party to help win back the people's trust in government officials.
His actions are quite embarrassing.
And now he can't go against a reconciliation process if out of office!
"his vote was not needed. "
You should be better informed.
I am informed. It passed initially. The reconciliation may be upcoming.
They will need to use reconciliation to pass the fixer health-care bill to make changes to the Senate health-care bill by removing Senator Nelson's Medicaid provision for Nebraska, adding the few, good GOP provisions, and so on.
Do you want to know what is in the bill
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoE1R-xH5To
We are not going to pass the House health care bill. Just the Senate's and make changes to it afterwards via reconciliation.
"Make changes later"!!!LOL!!! Another funny one!
That's why the House Republicans should also vote for the fixer bill so we can input their few good provisions into it for the benefit of all Americans and remove the bad Nebraska Medicaid provision.
They should do the right thing by putting their country before the Republican party, like Joseph Cao did previously.
Do you honestly think even politicians are that stupid?
No the dems have pushed this against the wishes of the American people. Let them pass it, that way they can take ALL the credit for its immense success and popularity.
This is what the Americans who voted for Obama wanted. Both bills passed without reconciliation or ramming health-care through.
If the Republicans want to fight the reconciliation fixer bill, then they will just have to live with the Senate health-care bill as is once it passes the House.
Or Democrats can not go in favor of the reconciliation and end it there.
We want to make the necessary compromises that both the Senate and House Democrats and maybe the few Republicans who vote for this measure can live with.
Also we want to add the few, good GOP provisions that are not in the current Senate bill to show Americans that we considered the best ideas from both parties.
"to show Americans that we consider the best ideas from both parties."
You want to lie? That's about par for the course.
The people around here I know are against a lot of what is in the Democratic plan. And our Congressmen know that. They also better take into count that they are up for re-election.
And the main one(from Ark) who votes for whatever Pelosi and Obama want, she will be gone!
Arkansas is red, red, red. No surprise there.
Obama could run against Satan himself, and all of Arkansas's electoral votes would go for Satan.
I don't know where you get your info livelonger, but Arkansas is a Democratic State. The Democrats in Arkansas are way more conservative than those around us. If you knew Arkansas the Satan statement would be so mistaken.
Most laws in Arkansas are influenced by the Christian Family Council and people's religious belief.
Did Arkansas vote for Obama or McCain in 2008?
Did Arkansas vote for Bush or Kerry in 2004?
Did Arkansas vote for Bush or Gore in 2000?
Obviously it voted for Clinton in the 90s, because he's their native son. But that was an aberration.
But I take your point about representation in Congress. But they're more Dixiecrat than Democrat, right?
Arkansas is very conservative, and if it's dominated by Christian "family" organizations, that will explain why it's poor and not exactly a hotbed of innovation of any kind (except Walmart, of course).
Livelonger...Ark also voted for Clinton overwhelmingly. Arkansans were not going to support Gore. Arkansans usually vote for the candidate they want more than for a political party.
This is why Arkansas has bi-partisan legislation more than US Congress will ever see. This is why Arkansas has a balanced budget. Arkansas has a law that the State has to have a balanced budget.
I have seen many legislators in this state vote for bills across party lines.
Arkansas voted for Clinton because Clinton is from Arkansas. (He was your governor, remember?)
That's great that the state government has a balanced budget. That laws can still get passed simply means the virulent partisan obstructionism of the national GOP hasn't infected your state government. Yet.
lol, Dixiecrat. Yes Arkansas is conservative. Hey, Clinton in office benefited this state big time.
Yes, Arkansas ranks near the bottom in all national statistics in areas you talk about, but also has an extremely large number of wealthy people in this state. (ratio wise that is)
Arkansans are more apt to vote across party lines. Except for a couple of Congressperson we have right now, who will be on the unemployment line come election. One thing Arkies don't tolerate is those elected going against the "will of the people" here.
And Arkansas is a "tax" happy State. Everything they can tax, they do. And looking for more ways to tax.
I'm pretty sure the rich upperclass are the members of the "Christian Family Council."
Well, duh, of course I do. lol And I see on your profile some places you have resided. The politicians you know are probably way different than those here.
My best friend growing up moved to Arizona and then to Pennsylvania after his college degree. He was amazed at how different a Republican or Democrat was compared to those in Arkansas.
One thing we have to help protect our State Legislature from National Government corruption is "term limits" on all those elected. I wish this was the same for the U.S. Congress as well.
livelonger....nice to meet you! Enjoyed the conversation. I need to go. Getting late here and I need to get up at a decent time tomorrow.
"This is what the Americans who voted for Obama wanted."
You still haven't figured out the difference between a presidential election and a referrendum?
And you still haven't figured out what a presidential mandate is.
Do not worry Sab. The upcoming Tea Party events will be a nice place for you and fellow GOP supporters to weep (due to the GOP grim upcoming re-elections) once President Obama signs health-care reform into law.
I know it will be tough for you all but I hope you all get over it without experiencing a bad case of depression.
"If the Republicans want to fight the reconciliation fixer bill"
" the reconciliation fixer bill"
Paging Mr. Orwell!
I voted for Obama I didn't want anything remotely resembling this.
Don't let Kenrick read that. His head will explode.
"But they're more Dixiecrat than Democrat, right?"
Those are still democrats. Don't get too cute with the semantics.
"I am informed."
Not you, the self-appointed DNC cheerleader there.
Sab, I really think you can give Sarah Palin a run for her money as an aspiring stand-up comedian.
Is that some kind of liberal incantation? By invoking the name of Palin you call your minions for help?
I just complimenting your ability to make people laugh with your statements. That's why Fox News probably has high ratings since it's probably the only television news outlet that caters to the GOP supporter views and it provides Democrat supporters with plenty of laughs, looks of disbelief, or head shaking on a consistent basis.
"The Democrat leadership want "ethical" individuals to represent the party"
LOL! Don't overdo it.
That's why I have ethical in parentheses. I know that the Democrats have some bad people as well.
There is just something weird about the words "ethical" and "politician" together. lol
you are so right; the two words are incompatible
