I actually respect that. Elton John's job is to entertain people not be political activist. I think its great that celeberties can make such in impact in the non-profit/charity realm but they should all stay out of politics and hot issues. Even if they strongly agree or dissagree with something their job is to entertain us and not stick up for our political rights.
I agree that they should put their business before their politics.
I don't mind them having an opinion no matter how ridiculous, and most of them are ridiculous.
But if I spend 75 dollars for a ticket to see something I don't want to be preached to.
Independent thinkers are very dangerous. They break up mob psychology. All the little sheep don't know where to go.
Elton John, half the time doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut, but what else is new with celebrities.
That's a perfectly sensible position for him to take.
He's an entertainer and a businessman.
He obviously doesn't see this issue as the sword he wants to fall on.
Besides, all you need to hear is that Kanye West is doing something and you know the right thing to do is the opposite!
