Witch Hunt FBI list Americans. Witch Hunt continues as FBI adds four more Americans to the list of antiwar activists who were subpoenaed. They will testify before a grand jury as part of an investigation.

In all, 23 Americans have been subpoenaed since September 24, when the FBI raided the offices and homes of prominent activists in Chicago and Minneapolis. No has been charged with a crime. Several people have also refused to testify calling it a "witch hunt" aimed more at intimidating those who dare speak out against U.S. foreign policy.

Our freedom of speech was the first thing that got attacked during the Bush era coining overused terms like "unpatriotic" and "demoralizing". Preemptive warfare has sadly ushered in a period of dramatic corporate gain and mercenary pillaging all over the middle east on the American tax-payers dime. Look up the Trans-Jordanian Iraqi pipeline.... interesting reading there.

The Bush era means the time frame when Bush was or use to be president of the United States.

Yes I realize that and thank you so much for clearing that up. What I was referring to were the subtle changes in rhetoric that have ensued as a result of individuals speaking out against government's foreign policy. So many activists were questioned and intimidated during the eight years Bush was in office and a battle and fear-fatigued nation hardly noticed. Now it seems people are more aware of such practices since we have had time to see the effects of the last several years and the reaction of government to such circumstances.

I meet quite a few US citizens around the world who are afraid of going back - or flying into or out of countries under the US sphere of influence.  One guy told me that his family and former neighbours were publicly questioned at their front door after he published a piece critical of US behaviour in Iraq - they were told that he was 'un-american'.

This does not look good. It actually might be more than just a witch hunt. They are going after the activists as if they were terrorists. All they are doing is opposing the government. It is as if they are looking for ways to suppress, capture, or subdue anyone against the government. If this is successful, then I would think they would go after other larger groups such as the tea party.

As they suppress more rights, go after more Americans, and train us to become compliant or else,  the government is moving more towards a totalitarian reign. If you don't think the government is starting to teach us to be compliant, all you need to do is to travel to your nearest airport and go through their security.

Regarding war. We should take home all troops from the world. We do not see this administration is doing any differently.
    Take our boys home!
