   I called it and now there is proof! This was a political speech complete with applause commands displayed on the jumbotron to coax the crowd's reaction! And the WH pretended to be surprised by the applause! LOL! The left is full of phony liars including the Liar in Chief!

      Wow! Lady_love, do you think BHO knew that was going to be done and really was surprised? I guess you're saying you think he was in on it. It's hard for me to be confident a president knows everything that's going on and how much he's being handled. sigh

         Of course he knew! He knew from the beginning this was a campaign stop! My God, they were handing out blue Tee shirts with the slogan "Together We Thrive Tuscon & America"!!
         
         They planned where the applause lines should go and everything! It's just shocking to me how low the left will stoop to maintain power!

            Yes, that is their prime, ultimate goal, so I guess I shouldn't put it past even Obama as he is wanting to disolve America's sovereignty into the Progressive world power machinery/system. So sad and sickening. Appreciate your courageous confrontation on this.

   It gets worse! They even BRANDED the event and handed out tee shirts in Blue and White with the slogan: "Together We Thrive Tuscon & America"
   
   This memorial was just another campagin event for Obama! Disgusting!

   I was watching Fox News at a Mcdonald's last week. Damn if there wasn't a script streaming across the bottom of everything the commentators were allowed to say... Shows that everything Fox says is manipulated and scripted.
   
   I say this tongue-in-cheek. The ticker scrolls what is said - not the script written before. So if the ticker displayed [applause] when the speech was interrupted by applause - it was recording what was happening - not what was being prompted. It's hardly proof of anything. Not that the wingnuts care at all about truth.
   
   Another trumped-up phony outrage. Not a surprise. They come along exactly on schedule.

         I read that the shirts were from the college - not from Obama. Is that his new campaign slogan? Some claim the shirts were handed out by White House operatives. If that's true, shame on them. If the WH and Obama had nothing to do with it and it was, indeed, the college's idea, shame on them IF they were using the service as a potical rally.
         
         Lots of conservatives and even some Democrats are criticizing the service because of the "pep rally" atmosphere. I didn't see it that way. I believe in celebrating the life of the deceased and have instructed my family that that's how I want my funeral to be. Of course, the crowd was also cheering for those who survived, along with the continued progress of Giffords.
         
         After 9/11, most Americans became more united. I was hoping the terrible incident in Tucson would have the same effect, but obviously, it hasn't, even though that's exactly what the president called for in his inspiring speech.
         
         And no, I'm not one of the HP liberals on here. I'm a registered Republican. But unlike some on BOTH sides, everything isn't black or white to me.

            Rose thanx for being the voice of reason. I don't know the history pn the shirts. They do not bear President Obama's name or picture. There is nothing in any Obama site or literature that uses the slogan.
            
            The slogan is a plea for unity. Is that a progressive value? Somebody tell the Tea Party what 'E Plurbus Unum' means

      Do you really think Obama wasn't exploiting that crisis?
      
      Remember Rahm said never let a good crisis go to waste!
      
      And Mark Penn said Obama needed a tragedy to get his popularity back up.

         IN case you don't remember...after 9/11, all of America stood with Bush. He gave a wonderful speech at the memorial...very moving and touching.
         
         WHEN he stood with that first responder on the mound at Ground Zero, and said "We Will Get you-whoever did this we will get you"...I thought he looked like an idiot.
         
         However, No one dis-respected,or villified him at that moment. No American doubted his words or meaning.
         
         YOU people, however, put a traitorous spin on everything president Obama does.
         If he blows his nose, it's an anti-American act.
         
         There is hatred of an American President......who exactly is being anti-American here?

   the same type of "rally" happened at the Paul Wellstone "memorial" a few years back in Minnesota.
   
   It's a seeming "strange" twist of ? whatever it is.
   
   I will see if I can find a clip to post. But I remember it clearly.
   
   Just google "clip of Paul Wellstone rally" and plenty of entries come up...I guess others were remembering it clearly as well.
