"This week, President Obama will unveil a plan to reduce the nation’s debt that includes tax increases on the rich and spending reductions. He will push for savings in Medicare and Medicaid while rolling back the Bush tax cuts for the rich. Obama will look for cuts in “all corners of government,” according to senior adviser David Plouffe."
Ryan's budget makes the Bush tax cuts permanent, and lowers the tax rate for the Uberrich.....
This should be fun.
Chris: Team Obama!!
Obama wants to reduce the nation's debt....everybody who believes this stand on their head......
The one that makes me laugh is this :"Lowering taxes creates jobs".
ahahaha---that one is 10 yrs old.
So Billy---Can I put you down for Team Ryan?
Jude Lawiski:
"Republicans always run up the debt when they're in office....then de-cry the debt when the Dems come in to fix it." (paraphrase)
Let's see, how many jobs were created under Reagan, during the longest period of peacetime prosperity in recent history? And what did Reagan do? He cut taxes. Kinda like JFK, a (gasp!) Democrat.....
Maybe 30 years ago lowering taxes creates jobs, but these days, the companies take the tax break for a few years, don't hire anyone, divest their operation in the U.S. and set up shop in china, so they get the tax break and lower wages all around. Win for the company, lose for the U.S.
Like trump said, every product coming to our shores should have a tariff or tax.
And what has Obama done?
The selective outrage evidenced in these forums is amazing....
Yeah, he has done a lot if you're part of the moocher class that looks to government as the answer to all their problems.....
You speak as if there are only two kinds of Americans: the incredibly wealthy and the "moochers".
Not necessarily wealthy, but certainly those of us who believe in taking some measure of responsibility for our lives as opposed to others (such as LMC) who believe they are entitled to a portion of our lives that they have not earned....
Billy. I believe Clinton gets the credit for the largest, peace time expansion.
You're a liberal, of course you would......
Liberal, conservative or otherwise - it's not a political opinion, it's an historical fact.
Historical fact depending on what site you read. Not to diminish Clinton's accomplishments in any way, but he was no Reagan.....
Peacetime? Are you freaking kidding me? Dude, spend 3 minutes and look that up again. Don't be a lazy mouthpiece. Go look that one up man. WAAAAY wrong.
By the way - Reagan raised taxes 3 times after his initial tax cut. Your entire point was, how we say...."lawyered."

I don't claim to be a big financial, economics know it all (how could anyone, frankly, but the link here is a conservative version of the current presidents tax creation scenario for next yearcan anyone that monitors similar information from the liberals post a comparison for us all to learn...

Question. If the Bush-era tax cuts were so popular and such the "economic reality" as it's being coined, then why did Obama fail to see this until recently. Where was his voice in favor of the Bush tax cuts 6 months ago, or even 2 years ago..?Yes Obama has always maintained...

Four Democrats and Lieberman voted with the Republicans. I have mixed feelings about this, according to the research I've done. It seems that "economy experts" are split on their views. Some argue that increasing taxes on the upper economic class will stifle jobs, while others say that...

Do you think Obama actually believes in the merit of the Constitution or do you think that he thinks that the chains i places on the Federal government are a bad thing?I for one think he would love to see a purely national government with absolutely no limitations on what it can do to...

Republicans like Boehner will shed a tear when asked about THEIR federal job, but when the topic of you losing YOUR federal job, they respond: "So be it."http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/ … XO20110215BTW- He also lied about how many jobs were in question as well...just to...

From Ezra Klein at the NY Times -"There are fiscal theories that I disagree with, and that I think are cruel, and that make me upset. But very few actually make me sad. Sen. Mitch McConnell, however, hit my sore spot today. "There's no evidence whatsoever that the Bush tax cuts actually...
