WASHINGTON -- The Senate on Friday blocked a House Republican bill to require Congress to slash spending and pass a balanced-budget amendment before raising the nation's borrowing powers. The vote left unresolved, with just days to go, the urgent issue of how to lift the debt limit to avoid a U.S. government default.
So the question is, what was Reid afraid of? We all know that the bill would not have passed a vote, so why table it? simple, then there would have been a recorded vote showing who was for and who was against balancing the budget.

Senate rejects GOP debt plan as talks drag on
By Alan Silverleib, CNN Washington (CNN) -
"The Democratic-controlled Senate rejected the GOP's "cut, cap, and balance" deficit reduction plan Friday, voting 51-46 to set the measure aside and clear a path for further talks on what Democrats insist must be a more centrist measure balancing spending reductions and tax hikes."
Hey pooch,
You got a serious problem keeping your facts separate from your bias. There WAS a vote.
Really, oh ignorant one, that vote was to table the motion AS IS WHAT I SAID IF YOU COULD EVER LEARN TO READ OR GIVE UP YOUR FREAKIN HATRED BECAUSE I ALWAYS SHOW HOW YOU GIVE FALSE MISLEADING INFORMATION LIKE NOW!!!!!!! There was NO VOTE ON THE ACTUAL LAW!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you tell the difference? Obviously not.
Either grow up, man up or go away. We all see you for what you are. Is this all you have time for is to follow me around here and keep being wrong? Get a life
The false caption says,
'REID DOES NOT ALLOW VOTE"
What do you think "54 - 46" to set the measure aside means? To me it says by a majority vote, not by Reid, the Teabagger bill was rejected by the Senate.
What do you think block a bill means?
The Senate on Friday voted to "table," or kill, a House Republican proposal to "cut, cap and balance" the budget that Majority Leader Harry Reid called the single worst piece of legislation ever to hit the Senate floor.
The House Republican "Cut, Cap and Balance" (measure) is now over. It's done, dead," Reid said after the 51-46 vote.
Tabled means, no debate, no vote.School is out

So the caption was a deliberate distortion of the action taken by the majority vote in the Senate.
