As Americans, have we forgot who we are and what we stand for?

By reading forum post or watching the news one can easily answer this question.  As a nation we face so many problems because we have lost a sense of who we are and have become divided as a result.  Our country has always stood for a free market, the Constitution, and freedom.  However, the courts and government in general, have perverted the Constitution and the principals that have made this such a great nation.  Many bash groups like the Tea Party who simply stand for the founding principals such as the Constitution, free markets, and fiscal responsibility.  The Tea Party is simply a group of Americans who have united so that their voice is heard.  While I am in no way affiliated with the Tea Party, I respect what they say, have done, and are doing.  I remind you that movements such as this have involvement from various political parties who support the ideals the United States was founded on and many throughout the United States history have lost their lives fighting to preserve.

Is this the basis for teen-mom's baby gramma Palins' "Real Americans" phrase?

Cause when we asked about it, everyone said Oh no no no no no...she didn't mean the only real Americans are righty's like her.....

Ooops, looks like she did...and you do too.

Have you never thought,if America were turned into a socialist country it would have to be the will of the majority.
No way a handful of people could swing it and if it were the majority's wish, wouldn't you have to abide by it?

You would need a super or supra-majority, I believe, to disolve the Constitution, not a simple majority.

Do you even know about our country?

We are not a democracy you know. Mob rule, 51%, doesn't cut it here.

I do know that it will not bend to the will of a handful of people.

Your statement that a supra majority would be needed backs up my claim that it would not be simple or easy to turn the US into a socialist country.

That is one of the most ludicrous statements I have heard on the forums.  And that is saying something.  Wouldn't Americans be people living in America.  People from all different spectrum's,  religions, political affiliations, ethnicities, etc...

    Yes we have.

But it has been stolen, not so much lost.

The agenda of the Frankfurt School, and the American Left and Progressives,  has been to twist history to make America evil, to teach our children they are decendents of scum who oppressed the world, and to embrace a new and better system, Socialism, so as to right our past wrongs.

    And it is working perfectly.

The US has never stood for free markets, they have weighted markets, aggressively dominated markets, put conditions on markets - and all in the joke of free trade.

The US has lost nothing except the economic power to bully everyone else, the resulting decrease in profits from such actions would hardly matter except that your politicians and financial institutions have stolen it all when there was excess and then you paid them when there was no profit to be had.

With all the BS re-defining of words and twisting of history, these fools today think the founders were Socialists, and that the Constiotution is a Socialist document.

What a joke this nation has become.

It is hard to imagine how you can twist and turn everything into the confusion you spout.   The Constitution was drawn up by business men, traders, landowners and slave owners and the free people they saw were those like them, nothing like you, me, black people, or working people, or anyone else really.

You're right.  We don't debate the value of liberal ideas being made into law, because they have no value; they're totally contrary to the laws of our land and the laws of God.
Notice I didn't say we don't debate the fact that liberals have the right to their views.  But they should be exposed for the error they are.   And even if liberals become the majority, that only means we should remain a Republic instead of a democracy.  Because even if the majority of people become corrupt, our laws should still reflect the right views instead of the majority.

"Nah, if riots happen, it will be because "we are not going to take it anymore"

---"Despite data collected by the Guardian showing a strong correlation between poverty and rioting, the government denied that its brutal austerity policies contributed to the desperation and rage of its young people. A  researcher found that the majority of rioters who have appeared in court come from poor neighborhoods, 41 percent of them from the poorest in the country—and 66 percent from neighborhoods that have gotten poorer between 2007 and 2010.

The techniques that were roundly decried by Western leaders when used by Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak against his people’s peaceful revolution are suddenly embraced when it comes to unrest at home. Not only that, but techniques honed in the “war on terror” are now being turned on anti-austerity protesters, clamping down on discontent that was created in the first place by policies of the state."

    http://www.veteransnewsnow.com/2011/08/ … ltra-rich/

Cuts and austerity lead to rioting...stealing people's savings will do it too. Taking and not giving is such bad form.

Better watch it....Ryan is making flood and hurricane aid contingent on cuts...they are all about austerity these Republibaggers...oh, of couse not for themselves!! Heaven forfend.

It's the same formula used over and over...and we are next.

Its brutal austerity measures... wait till we have to under-take those brutal measures here... then the Leftists will be crying about killing grandma and the children, and the class warfare BS will be spouted by mouths like van jones and piven, then the oppressors BS from farrakhan and his ilk... then the Left will take to the streets with violence, as they already do at most Union rallie, and cry about how they are so oppressed and need the Govt to care for them cradle to grave... they are entitled after all damn it!

      What a joke.
