One economist in a NYT article thinks so! What does this say about the NYT, liberals, and their crazy ideas? Theres just no end to what these people think government should do!

Wait, Nick, are you trying to tell me Maddow is a woman? I never would have guessed that in a million years. Next you'll be trying to tell me that Napolitano dude over at Homeland Security is a woman as well.

"Should Ugly People Get Affirmative Action Protection?"

It would be nice, but there are just too darn many of us.

Beauty or the lack there of is in the eye of the beholder. My answer would be no. This is just another no body trying to make a name for himself.

Besides my ex-wife got everything else. She doesn't need Affirmative Action Protection just because she's ugly as well.

I am totally perplexed at this question.   Affirmative action is for verifiable groups i.e. ethnic/ racial groups, religious minorities,  LGBT groups, and other minority groups such as the disabled and the aged who had a history of discrimination and differential treatment because of their status in society.   So-called "ugly" people do not count because the world "ugly" is a very subjective word and the definition varies from person to person and from culture to culture.

Some may be just plain ugly on the inside. You would have to interview.

I think we should care for the facially challenged.

Since politics is little more than acting for ugly people, I think all of Washington might empathize and be receptive to the idea
