A 5-year-old-drives mom's SUV and then calls 911 for help in Mansfield, Ohio. Police say 5-year-old Ameleah Kegley backed out the family's luxury SUV Monday evening after returning from school to an empty house. Her mother had gone to the hospital with an emergency and her father, who lives elsewhere, never got the message.

Worried that her mother wasn't home, Ameleah decided to look for her, starting her mother's 1999 Lincoln Navigator. It backed down the sloped driveway and came to a stop on grass across the street.
The girl dialed 911, explained the situation and asked for quick help getting the car back home, because she said her mom would be upset with her. She didn't want to admit she was behind the wheel. According to CBS affiliate WBNS, which obtained the 911 call, the child told the dispatcher, "my mom's car backed out on accident."
She then goes on to explain, "I know my mom is gonna be pissed at me." Officer Ryan Grimshaw said he responded to the home....

this is the third story I've read in recent weeks about small children driving...I see a trend
Man. Can these parents get a grip on life or what. This is why they have children's aid because of these dangerous things that the kids are exposed to.
Yeah! I know. There was also a dad who let his nine year old drive because he was too drunk to drive the car himself.:_
I read the story. The mother had a medical emergency. This was NOT bad parenting, there were no files charged.
