How Many Americans Know Chaplin Was Exiled?

The recent movie depicting J. Edgar Hoover was respectful and I always fee that free speech isn't free unless it is respectful. But I must question IF  pertinent pieces of history were left out in the movie?

I am dismayed that the exile of Chaplin has never really been highlighted. We, the American people, need to know these facts in order to participate in government and send a message of what the democracy wants.

Please no democracy comments here - just historical facts that we must remember in order to not repeat.

Did you know Chaplin was exiled from returning to the United States? His museum opens I believe 2012 in Switzerland - sadly the museum could have been in the United States but the turmoil of the time denied Chaplin re-entry onto American soil.
