Alone In A World Of Many
Lost In Your Own Mind
Everywhere I look I see people
All different ages both male and female
With life as amazing as it is
I bang my head against the wall
Trying to understand how could one feel so isolated and sad
There has never been a time in history where communication was so easy
Yet some people feel disconnected and shun from society
Like one book on the shelf of many
Never read always passed by
It sits there ready to give and share its wonders to the first person that sees it
Even though the book is in plain sight it is not seen
The corners of the book are worn but the meaning is still the same
It may not have a fancy cover as the new books but it has been around for generations
Each page contains many hints and tips to live a better and a more fascinating life
Why don't people see so many great wonders right before them
Are they too busy hurrying from place to place thinking there are so many places they have to go
When they are searching for the same things that others have found many years prior
Only to be left sittting quietly alone now
Is it the way of the world ?
Does it have to be this way ?
I see other examples of this life all around me
Like those people looking for a job and they can't seem to find one
Then you open up the help wanted pages and see ad after ad of positions that they could qualify for
Is it really that they don't want to work ?
They just want to complain again and again
Making excuse after excuse
For the life they now live
Is it that people really want to be left alone in their own living hell when they could easily be happy and content ?
I will never understand it
When they crave for interaction and get little
When they want just to be part of someones life who they care about
Other people don't see it or understand their loneliness
Left like a shadow in the the dark
All alone with a broken heart
How can we mend a heart that does not know how to be fixed ?
As we sit and watch
When we know there are so many other choices and endless ways to satisfy ones curiosity
All are left like an old newspaper tossed aside and never read again
