My Wonderful Wife

Many may have seen comments on some of my hubs by The Lord's Lamb Tam. A few that have followed onto The Great American Fast website will see her listed there under this same name, The Lord's Lamb Tam.

I must write a hub here on her and try to explain just how much love I have for her. She goes beyond being my rock as so many people say of a loved one. I could just end this writing here and just say she is a true gift of God. That explains it all. I would however like to make a feeble attempt to say just how much I love her and what she means to me.

I have a poem on the hubs I wrote for her and it was her inspiration behind the couple of relationship hubs I wrote as well as my testimony hub. The following were because of her inspiration, love and devotion.

For Better Or Worse

She has always given me the for better though I have given her the worse. Relationships are hard, they take work. I am sure anyone bothering to read this will agree with that. When it comes to hard work I am good at it. No, I am not boasting but I have a very good work ethic. I look at my job and commitments and I work extremely hard to do the best jobs I possibly am able. But, in a relationship I all too often have taken it for granted she knew just how much I love her. She endlessly supports me and nurtures me. I wish here to honor my wife.

Her love is endless, always flowing. She is a true help mate given by God. I have just received news of having three bulging disks in my back, they are in seriously bad shape. She has driven me twice to the hospital and to the doctors office and has had to constantly dress me through the past week. She has done it with a smile on her face, ( and sometimes in laughter) tying my shoes after putting on my socks and shoes because I could not reach them. A few days she even had to help me get out of bed, and hold me up until I could start to walk. As bad as it has been she has a heart of compassion that reaches to others despite our problems with my back. I found out I will be out of work for eight weeks and the short term disability payments are going to really hurt financially. so we have a Father that has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. We know somehow He will provide our needs.

This morning at church our pastor asked if we could drive a lady and her two little boys home. She got a ride to church but needed someone to take her home. They are out of work and she could not afford the gas to drive 30 minutes to the church. Knowing her dire situation Tammy asked her if she would let us to treat her and her two boys to MacDonalds on the way home. The boys are so cute and so very, very well mannered. It was a great experience to help this dear lady out today.

She knew in a few weeks I am going to have to make a decision to keep getting treatment or return to work to keep our finances going, yet had the heart to sacrifice for this one in such need.

I have watched her at church being a mother to he college kids that come to our church from across the country. Most of these young people call her church mom. Hugs are plentiful every time we see any of them. Many we have had in our home to help them out all because of the heart of compassion Tammy possesses.

We started a ministry feeding children last summer and will continue that again this year. I was only able to be there a couple of times yet she persevered through the entire summer preparing each meal by herself. So many times she would call me after feeding these children and be in tears knowing they just had a meal for the first time in possibly a couple of days.

I praise God that when I was so far out of God's will she had the love to say she wanted to leave but loved me so much she could not do that. I saw the true love of Christ because of Tammy. My hub http://hubpages.com/hub/I-have-the-colon-cancer-pray-for-me was written after leading our new found friend Paul Blevins to Jesus. She was the driving force God used to tell me to go back to speak and pray with Paul. The result Paul accepted Christ that day right in his driveway. Further results were the V.A. Hospital has nine floors, Paul was on eight of those nine. On every floor he spoke of the love of Jesus to every nurse, doctor, surgeon, nurse aid or whoever happened to come in his sight. He was a strong soldier for Jesus Christ whole he was there in the hospital, all because Tammy said I don't care about your job this man needs you to pray with him.

I want to say publicly here on the hubs,"Tammy I appreciate you." Also," Tammy I love you with all my heart and it is a pure joy serving the Lord God Almighty and Jesus Christ our Saviour with you."

I could say so much more. Every day she opens my heart wide open. I do not show true emotion as I should sometimes. I keep closed up, but because of her undying love I have been able to open my heart and feelings. I love you The Lord's Lamb Tam!
