Las Vegas Wedding Documents

Almost 500 weddings take place every single day in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world. Here are some of the documents that you need to get a marriage license in Las Vegas:

A. Identification

All you need some form of official identification. It could be any ONE of the following documents:

1. A Valid Driver's license

2. Passport

3. Foreign Government Issued ID Card (must include the date of birth)

4. Permanent Resident Card

5. Voter Identification Cards (must contain birth date)

The County Clerk's Office will consider the following documents on a case-by-case basis:

     Student Identification Cards
     Prison Identification Cards

It is recommended by the county office that the foreign birth certificates be translated into English and notarized.

B. Marriage License application form
Both you and your fiancé are required to fill out the license application form. You can download it from the county's website or go there and fill it out at the county office.

You should know your Social Security Number. These are the documents needed to get married in Las Vegas - which essentially is just your valid drivers license.

Applicants must be a male and a female, at least 18 years of age, and not nearer of kin than second cousins or cousins of half blood, and not having a husband or wife living. It costs only $60 in CASH to get a marriage license in Las Vegas.

Applicants should be required to prove their age. If you do not have an acceptable identification to prove age, marriage license will be refused. There is no blood test and no waiting period after a license is issued.

Then, drive around and look for a wedding chapel. Las Vegas even offers drive through wedding chapels. You can even have an Elvis Presley look-alike to attend your wedding.
